The Woodstock Triathlon Club Covid 19 Bike Challenge!! OPEN TO ANYONE WITH A BIKE! (with cool prizes for those that can read an entire face book post). Good afternoon everyone! Its time to put all that accumulated boredom to good use! WTC is hosting a covid fundraiser for our local food banks. ... Details: Ride 200km, inside or out, one ride or over several rides, between May 9 and 23rd and be entered into a draw for a very cool new pair of sunglasses courtesy of Arnel Optometry, OR! the grand prize of a 1 year membership to the WTC! Email Dave your $25 entry fee, and proof of you accumulated 200km (strava file or similar) to be entered in the draw! [email protected] ALL money raised will be donated to our local food bank (Operation Sharing)! Good luck, and safe cycling!!

It is a SENSATIONAL day for a run! We hope you can get out and enjoy it, even if it’s just playing in the backyard for a while. Remember to take a moment an celebrate the memory of the fellow that introduced most of us to the joys of running!

Just a quick FYI for you this morning. Some WTC members have good intentions on doing the RAAM race in the near future (2021 fingers crossed??). Here is a great little post feed for anyone that may be interested in racing or supporting. It’s going to be quite an undertaking, seeing how others have accomplished it in the past will be very helpful!

However!! This is an amazing opportunity to brush up on your sport nutrition knowledge. I’ve had the pleasure of attending a couple times now and have been blown away at the quality and quantity of information Dr. Lemon packs into a single day. It is fantastic!! ... If you plan on going, please let me know, I will have a lot of questions for you!

Hey Team! Just a reminder that this weeks bike class will start at 7:45 in the am to help accommodate another function at the Moose. See you there!

Hey Team! Just a friendly reminder that we will be doing a time trial this week at bike class! This will help dial in our intensity zones for the last FOUR weeks. We will do the Carmichael 2x8min test again. This method seems to be a little friendlier to a wider range of riders. For the cyclists that focus on health and fitness goals, 2x8 is a little easier to push through. ... For the cyclists looking to improve performance, doing 2 max efforts offers more information to analyze, such as the effectiveness of your warm up, and active recovery strategies. WTC through our Kids du event is sponsoring 2 public swims at Southside Aquatic center over March break this year. Take your kids to the pool March 17 and 19 from 1:15 to 3pm on us. Thank you for your support of Kids Du over the past 4 years Woodstock.
