Now that we've had some time to review the announcement and correspondence from the CMTO, we're pleased to let you know that Massage Therapy (and all regulated health practitioners) are able to remain OPEN during the Provincewide Shutdown. We may need to adjust our schedules a bit so our therapists can figure out childcare in January, but we'll be in touch if any changes need to be made. If you don't hear from us otherwise, and you have an appointment booked, we will see yo...u as scheduled! Of course, if you don't feel comfortable attending your scheduled appointment, please let us know ASAP. Today, we added 71 cases to our COVID-19 dashboard. This is the highest single-day case increase in our region by far. Local modelling used by Southwestern Pub...lic Health also projects 100 daily cases or more in early January. This is a critical point in the pandemic. Once we see increases approaching 100 per day, it becomes very difficult to contain this virus. Your actions today will impact the number of cases we will see in late January and February. Now that we're in Lockdown v2.0, I think it’s safe to say that we’re all feeling a wee bit stressed again (or still??) It’s SO important to find effective ways to relieve stress! I’m sure you have seen or heard similar articles to this about the announcement that is being made tomorrow. We’ve been getting a lot of messages asking what it means for your upcoming massage appointments Right now, nothing. ... We are waiting for the actual announcement. Based on speculation, this is what we can assume so far... 1 Sounds like it will start December 24 (so any apts this week shouldn’t be affected). 2 Unless they change the current lockdown restrictions/measures RMTs are still allowed to provide treatments during lockdown. We will be sure to let everyone know if there are any changes, but we’re not making plans till things are official and we get guidance from the CMTO.
