I’d just like to take this opportunity to thank everyone that supported myself and SAWCo over the past year. We’ve all had our challenges this year and I’ve been very grateful for the successes the SAWCo enjoyed and most especially the friendships and interactions over the past year. It’s truly been a positive thing in a year that’s needed any bit of positivity we can wring from it. I’m looking forward to 2021 and knowing what we’ve been missing in terms of human interactions and having those interactions slowly given back to us. So thanks to all. And to all we’d like to wish you a happy, healthy and peaceful holidays.

The #shoplocal and #shopsmallbusiness movement has been alive and well this year, perhaps more popular then ever. But one of the advantages of shopping local is the expectation that the money spent will be re-spent in the community. I think that’s a key and to respect that I’d like to be transparent as to where my supplies to run Sawco come from. Please see below for my suppliers and really a huge source of support for local business unto themselves: My logo, business ca...rd printing and wood burning come from the talented Jess at Oddz & Endz Creatives. My wood and maker supplies (epoxy, sandpaper, finish) and my engravings come from The Kopper Mill located right here in South Ajax. Another tremendous source of my wood and maker supplies is Northdog Wood Co. When I do have to buy tools and such I try to avoid the big box stores and go to Busy Bee Tools or Markham Industrial & Trade Supplies Ltd. good Canadian companies that keep the profits in Canadian hands. It’s a good feeling when you feel as though we give back to the community and every dollar that we spend is like a vote in many ways. And I’d like to continue to vote for many talented and diverse companies to exist in and around our community Thanks to all for supporting South Ajax Wood Company and all of our local community this year and especially this holiday season. It’s really been one amazing thing that’s come out of this not so amazing year.

Over the last month we’ve been doing a ton of personalized boards for people. It just seems like a great idea, this year maybe more then most. And none of them were bigger then this behemoth. Three feet long by two feet wide and two inches thick. It was a pleasure (and a workout) to finish this board for my good friend Zack at Buds and BBQ. As we get ready for the Christmas Rush (and the buildup of our inventory) now seemed like a good time to debut our new logo. Very excited to debut this and a make it our new logo as we move the business forward. Thanks to Oddz & Endz Creatives for the design work. I have been falling behind on posting. But these two boards were picked up late last week. I have been experimenting with different handle types to ensure that everyone gets a one of a kind and I really like this ‘E.T. Head’ handle.
