New Restrictions Under B.C. COVID-19 Guidelines Adult in class sessions have been temporarily suspended. However, our winter / spring schedule of Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday night classes for children and youth (up to age 21) is in effect until December 17th. In class and Zoom sessions will resume on January 4, 2021 after the winter holiday at the regular times. Both Children and youth classes (up to the age of 21) will be limited to 10 students with no addition...al audience (parents and friends may not attend). Children’s classes will be approximately 45 50 minutes in duration to allow for cleaning before the youth class starts. Youth classes will be approximately one hour in duration. Adults are encouraged to attend the youth class online with Zoom. For those individuals that do not yet wish to come to regular in-house sessions, classes will be streamed on Zoom. Please email at [email protected] for the Zoom address in order to take part. You will require a laptop or applicable device with a built in camera and microphone or webcam and microphone for your desktop computer.

Hello All Testing Students! I have received word from Grand Master Kim that he will not be attending the test that was scheduled for March 14, 2020. Grand Master Kim has urged me to help cut down on any threat of the spread of Coronavirus (COVID -19) by testing people on an add-hock basis in class starting Monday March 16, 2020. In other words, if you are a testing student you will show up to test at your convenience during regular class times. This will cut down on the overa...ll group size including the total spectator count. He will be sending the certificates to me via mail so I may only have your belt to give to you until later in the week. I also have some boards so board breaking will proceed as usual for testing. I am planning to be back to full time teaching as of Monday March 16, 2020. Black belts will be tested for the first half of their second dan test as usual and will test for their final test next test provided they test on a day when I am personally in attendance. My sincere apologies for this inconvenience but it has come to the point where we must be more proactive in considering the overall safety of our students and staff and try to act accordingly. Hello Members and others wishing to try our Wednesday classes! As of November 6, 2019 our Wednesday classes will be switching from a specialized sport sparring class back to the regular class routine. Sparring will continue to be incorporated into the weekly routine along with other traditional Taekwondo on a frequent basis. Thanks, Master Steve

Another successful test was held at the Nanaimo Woo Kim Taekwondo School on Sunday March 10th. Three new students were promoted to different black belt ranks as well as several color belt students.
