We’re boosting supports for unemployed apprentices to finish their training through the Apprentice Training Award. Eligible apprentices will be able to apply f...or $1,500 during their classroom instruction period to help manage costs of tuition, books, material fees and living expenses. This support is part of Alberta’s Recovery Plan and will help about 3,300 apprentices continue their training. Eligible apprentices will begin to receive their funding in September 2020. Remembering (at a distance) those injured, disabled, or who lost their lives due to workplace injury or illness for the Annual Day of Mourning.

Due to the inability to come together this year to remember the 165 workers who lost their lives to workplace injury or illness in 2019, we will being taking a moment of silence to honor those affected on April 28 at 11am on our own this year. Please take a moment today to do the same, one life lost is too many.

We are not sure who comes up with these days, but we will take all the love we can! It isn’t always the most glamorous job, but it is certainly an essential one! And we do love what we do!

The new 2000 sqft Spruceview Co-op C-Store complete with upgraded fuel pumps is almost finished! This will be a great place to stop in for fuel or a snack when you are heading down Hwy 54!

World Class Contracting would like to wish you and your family a Safe & Happy Easter! We know everyone would like to be spending time with extended Family and Friends this weekend, but it really is in our best interests to follow the social distancing guidelines recommended by our Health Officials. We want all of our loved ones are still with us when we can return to our normal routines!

We are excited to be part of the team bringing the new Piper Creek Lodge to fruition. This project will be a welcome addition to our community! Slated for completion in 2021, it will have 65 rooms and 35 stand-alone apartments.

These are certainly stressful times for people and our communities. It is important to remember that we are all in this together. For the safety of the community, we are asking every person, business, and workplace to make every effort to follow the recommendations set forth by AHS, and practice social distancing and if required, self-isolation. We know these measures are disruptive and force adjustments to our daily lives, but they are necessary. It is up to us to take care of each other!

Today is a day in honor of the tradespeople who keep our hot water running and our toilets flushing, but it is also an opportunity to spread awareness about the importance of accessibility of safe sanitation & clean drinking water, something many of us take for granted.
