This year our 2020 World of Jazz Festival looked a little bit different, as we pivoted to a hybrid approach that provided live local music through community and restaurant performances, and expanded our reach to world-wide audiences, through our first ever virtual concert. Our vision was that in a time of such uncertainty, we still wanted to provide our annual first-class event, that offered hope and uplifted spirits through music, as well as ensured compensation and performa...nce opportunities for musicians and technicians. . We are so very proud of our event this year, and we wanted to thank everyone for their contributions, support, opinions and belief in our vision, towards making our 2020 Festival such a success! . We are grateful and could not have done it without the City of Brampton Your Local Government Marquee Festivals Grant, Mayor Patrick Brown and all members of Council, our stage sponsors Paradise Developments and JN Realty Brokerage, new and returning sponsors including the Downtown Brampton BIA, Long & McQuade (Brampton), Steinway Piano Gallery Toronto and JazzAmco, our amazing volunteers, hosts, performers, and every one of you who came out to enjoy and support our live Saturday performances throughout Brampton, and those who tuned in on Sunday, to our virtual concert. . With the virtual concert came many firsts for our little not-for-profit organization and we could not have produced such an amazing online show without the studio, tech, sound and lighting crew at ACS Productions Sound and Lighting Inc, our amazing video crew at Tdsmultimedia, and our online streaming master Mike L Attard, who worked together seamlessly, to ensure that the studio stages, overall production, music quality and stream to our Vimeo, Facebook and YouTube accounts, were one well-oiled machine!
