About this time on Good Friday, 100s of Edmontonians would be getting ready to head downtown to join the Good Friday Outdoor Way of the Cross. This has been happening each Good Friday since 1981. But because of Covid-19, we will not be coming together physically for this 40th year of the walk. So, we invite you to get a cup of tea or coffee and use this link to sit and enjoy the reflections that would have been part of this year's walk-- and you can even join in and sing some... of our favourite songs. The walk is developed each year as a way to remind ourselves of the relationship between the first Good Friday when Jesus was killed and the many social justice issues that still hurt, limit, and kill too many people around the world. This year, the 40th anniversary of the Edmonton Outdoor Way of the Cross will be a little different. Because of Covid-19, we will not be able to gather together to walk and pray. But videotaping has wrapped up, and if you check back here at 10 am on Good Friday, when the walk would normally be getting started, there will be a link to a 45 minute virtual walk, with those who were scheduled to present reflections sharing them on video.

Please note that during this time of dramatic changes in community life due to the COVID-19 virus, the 2020 Outdoor Way of the Cross will NOT be taking place on Good Friday. Stay tuned for information about other activities however, in the weeks to come.
