This 2021 Kona daily driver has been given a fighting chance to serve its owner with a shiny appearance due to the use of Dr. Beasley’s Car Care Products with our New Vehicle Prep Detail. Daily drivers, whether purchased outright, leased, or purchased on a loan program take a big chunk out of the family budgets regardless of make and model. The vehicle was received and subjected to a multi-level washing process of ph balanced soap, decontamination of paint surface with Dr. B...easley’s Total Decon and the vehicle was totally clayed including glass. To protect stains to plastic and rubber the vehicle was draped and taped during the Nano Surface Primers application to ready it for the Nano-Resin coating to protect the paint for up to 3 years. Other Dr. Beasley’s nano protectors included the Trim Coating, Headlight Coating, Glass Serum and wheel sealants on the rims. Dr. Beasley’s tire conditioner gave a great appearance to the new tires. The interior carpet and upholstery protection was applied with the use of superior products provided by Dr. Beasley’s as well. Ceramic Coated vehicles, like all vehicles, must be maintained with a pH balanced soap under a two bucket system, both equipped with grit guards. The vehicle will not be subject to the common Touchless Car Wash service that utilizes a non-balanced ph soap that removes dirt chemically and is known for causing scratches and removal of wax and sealants. As a detailer, I am of mixed emotion on such vehicle washes as they provide me with great high revenue paint correction business to restore vehicles to former glory.

Durability, Durability, and Durability is the goal of a Wow!ed Detail. Potential customers that come to the shop ask what we feel is our difference from other shops. Other Dr. Beasley’s products used included Plastic Trim Coating, Metal coat on chrome exhaust pipes, and wheel rims protected by Dr. Beasley’s Wheel Sealant which can withstand temperatures up to 1300 degrees. The days left for driving this vehicle are numbered before it will be stored for winter and protection is ready for now and definitely for the next number of seasons. Correction, Reflection and Protection was the goal of this detail and it was accomplished. This 7-year old, rare, Camaro ZL1, although with low mileage, due to being a dark-coloured vehicle shows any slight change in reflection. Dr. Beasley’s Nano Surface Primers, all three levels were used to correct and enhance the paint surface which provided the proper primer base for the protection application of Dr. Beasley’s 1201 nano product. This vehicle was taken directly to its winter storage site and we look forward to the Spring wash follow-up.

Paint correction with Dr. Beasley’s Nano Surface Primers is best achieved with close attention to a patient method and preparation of surface prior to the polishing process. People always ask how we avoid getting polish, wax, sealants on auto’s rubber trim etc. Taping off the auto rubber first does take time but less time than cleanup. (we also cover tires and rims) However, if it does happen it is good to have a spray bottle of a mixture of 1/3 - 70% isopropyl alcohol and ...2/3 distilled water to spray and wipe the debris. The same mixture is used after the entire polishing process to the paint surface to rid dust etc prior to final protective application. Dr. Beasley’s actually manufactures a superior product called Panel Prime. Back to the photo, have a look at the intent look on detailers face as he slowly removes blemishes and other unwanted scratches on the surface. High-speed polishing does not guarantee removal of the unwanted, but, rather a thorough focus of both detailer and primers to achieve success. Another Summer gone, a great Fall is giving way for old man Winter and many special summer vehicles are being put away in storage. Make sure you clean and protect your convertible top whether fabric or vinyl. This post addresses the fabric convertible top which must be cleaned in a gentle manner. At Wow we like to use compressed air with the use of our Air Gun Tornador, followed by a good vacuum and for those hard to remove lint, hair and other hard to remove items a good o...ld roller brush will pick them off the surface. After what we call dry cleaning we use a gentle wet down with water and if you are using a pressure washer use a wide spray and a good distance to the surface to avoid pushing dirt into the cloth. Our chosen manufacturer approved by Haartz cleaner is Ragg Topp fabric cleaner and their Protector. As mentioned, it must be cleaned in a gentle manner and not with a stiff brush that you might use on carpets but rather a firm but gentle bristle brush (often of horsehair). Spray the fabric with cleaner and agitate with brushes using a smaller one to push out the dirt along any seams. Best to use the bush in a flat bristle position. Rinse thoroughly. To dry, WOW uses a 'Dry Me a River' waffle towel to blot dry which does not have any loose fibres that could remain on the surface. Warm filtered air blowers can offer a good method as well to rid the surface of water. Once dry, the protector product can be sprayed on in a crosshatch manner in layered coats. Make sure you read directions on timelines between coats. It almost goes without saying but best results are achieved when cleaned and protected in a clean indoor setting.

This 10-year old vehicle was in for the Trump Detail. Nano Trumps Wax in both longevity and protection level for the paint surfaces. There was ample clear coat to polish as this vehicle was never polished before and Dr. Beasley's 150, 95 and 45 Nano Surface Primers reestablished a shine that it has not had in possibly a decade. The final step protection product was Dr. Beasley’s Formula 1201 or New Day Coat. The windows were also protected by Beasley’s IQ and tires condi...tioned and rims protected with Dr. Beasley’s Wheel Sealant which can withstand temperatures of 1,300 degrees. The black trim areas were also protected by plastic sealant and it took a few coats as plastics really soaked up the moisturizer sealant. The owner has a high level of intolerance to chemical smells and perfumes so the steam cleaning was a key to ridding and cleaning the interior without odour and all interior plastics received a couple of coats of Dr. Beasley’s Plastic Conditioner with the favoured matt finish. Winter is coming so plastic sealant was also applied to the door rubber which will avoid the doors from freezing shut. Considering they are calling for possible snow this weekend this vehicle is ready for both snow and the associated salt placed on our roads.

Pre-winter auto detail’s main goal is to get your auto ready for old man winter here on the east coast. Daily drivers are subject to harsh weather of snow, followed by rain, then freezing temperatures, all in the same morning. Our roads are plowed, salt spread liberally and in parking lots the addition of sand. Not only does this coat the exterior of autos but joins the interior on our boots. // The exterior needs more than instant detailer wax or paste wax, the paint surfa...ce needs at least Dr. Beasley’s paint sealant, or even the entry level nano coat known as 1201 (new day) or better yet a 3, 5 or 9 year nano resin pro coating. The glass should have glass serum applied and various other exterior surfaces with specialized nano coatings for trim, chrome, and wheels. Regular washing is a must for the paint surface, yet please avoid the harsh chemicals used in the so called no touch auto washes. Auto detailers welcome regular auto wash business in a commonly slower business time of the year. // Don’t forget the rubber seals of the doors, windows and trunk hoods that can be covered with dirt and just dry and needs to be moisturized with Dr. Beasley’s plastic exterior sealant that can keep the doors from freezing closed and the cost of replacing rubber seals can be avoided // Once the interior is totally cleaned the carpets and fabrics should be protected with Dr. Beasley’s Fabric protection and the other various lines of interior plastic sealants, and leather lock protectors. The best way to avoid salt residue on carpets is a well fitted Weather Tech plastic mat or the Auto manufacturer’s custom fit mats. // The interior air system should be topped up with a new cabin air filter after duct cleaning. In the winter the windows are basically closed and the interior atmosphere needs a clean slate from dust, leaves that clog the old filter. Not always known to exist, the cabin filters are usually easy to access and not expensive to replace // Make sure the Family Bubble Auto is ready for the winter staycations, whether short distance or to the extremes of the Atlantic Bubble

I am often asked why there is a constant oily film on the inside of new vehicle windshields. I respond with that it is caused by off-gassing. Once I apologize and did not mean that, but, rather all the vehicle plastics and fabrics off-gas from ultraviolet ray exposure and it ends up on glass as an oily film. Therefore, new auto glass needs constant cleaning to keep the vision clear. Most autos have some form of tinting and some autos have darker aftermarket products ...so the glass cleaners should be safe, such as Dr.Beasleys glass cleaner or Invisible Glass cleaner as neither contains ammonia in its make-up. Less costly glass cleaners may be too harsh and be more costly by damage caused to the integrity of the glass. Have a look at the new Invisible Glass microfiber cloth on a handle that is so convenient for those sedans back windows. The white block is a product from the past that did a great job of cleaning glass but so dusty upon removal. The cake of BonAmi is a real antique product I keep from my humble beginnings of cleaning glass. Everybody loves the new car smell which is merely the odour from off-gassing.

They say there is nothing worse than a reborn anything. However, after recently working for 10-12 hours on a just 4-year-old vehicle to remove salt/sand mixture out of carpets, stains from upholstery and carpet from spills, kid marker marks on plastic, headliner marks, without 100% success I was dismayed. Add to that removing tree sap, brake dust, road tar, bug guts and other contaminants from an unprotected paint surface was such a challenge and again without 100% succes...s. A good detailer goes beyond a mere vacuum to get into the nooks, crannies, and crevices of an automobile interior. Here is a grouping of the various devices used such as the standard vacuum tool, brushes, but here at WOW we depend on compressed air with the use of our Tornador Air Gun which creates a tornado effect in the carpet to pull up the dirt in the vacuum process, for the smaller areas we picked up up a small tool attachment for vacuum from Lee Valley Tools (have to k...eep me away from that toy store for big boys) to actually vacuum stuff that we could see but not reach and the fine air tool to blow out the dirt in the seams of auto panels. Although we bought the Dust Daddy attachment as a novelty item it has turned out to be great for fine areas of dust such as quick touch up vacuum in consoles that can even have stuff still in it as it grabs the dust and small particles and leaves the coins, etc still in their place. Normally business people hate being in the RED but I had a most enjoyable time doing paint correction on these two vehicles. The 2017 Ford Truck and the 2005 Ford Mustang differ in the shade of red but they both were enhanced with Dr. Beasleys nano surface primers followed by a 2 Step Ultimate sealant finish. Whether from hand washing with sponges without the benefit of grid guards or the extreme washing by touchless low ph soap versus a proper Dr. Beasleys balanced ph auto soap each vehicle had hairline scratches and swirls were polished out. All ready for the road trip now known as the Staycation. This great automobile was just in for the annual Dr. Beasleys inspection of Nano Resin coating. A little Total Decon was used to rid the white paint surface of the iron from brakes and other contaminants. The beauty of a white painted surface is that you can easily spot the rust looking spots while others are there and you might miss a few even though you do a surface decontamination. The paint surface received a Dr. Beasleys Advanced Gloss spray as part of the wash process and now the water will fly off the surface at a low angle or slide angle we like to call it.

This is not going to be any kind of Garage Queen. It will soon learn the taste of mud in the summer and snow and salt in the winter. And it is RED, oh, so RED! With sunglasses on, Dr. Beasleys Nano Resin coating was applied to the paint and glass serum to the exterior glass to provide up to three years of protection and especially the perils of the sun on that paint to preserve one shade of red all around. Dark-coloured vehicles matter! The darker the color the vehicle is painted, the more unforgiving even the most minor scratch or smudge is enhanced. This fresh off the lot Nissan Kicks is ready to kick butt to many of the perils of the road with this great line up of the Dr. Beasleys family of products. To prepare the paint surface it was first washed with Premium Body Wash. Application of the new Nano Surface Primers grabbed the highest shine the paint could offer, and the paint surface is protected by a 3- year Nano Resin ceramic coating, and Plastic Trim coating, Headlight lens coating and Metal coat were applied to ...the chrome. The tires were dressed with the matte tire conditioner and to protect the rims from brake dust and heat an application of Dr. Beasleys Wheel Sealant did the trick. The interior floors were protected by Carpet and Upholstery protection and the saddle-stitched leather seats with Leather Lock Pro. The Wow!ed Signature Interior Detail has a New Normal, a phrase that now describes numerous positive process changes. Like many businesses, we closed our doors by the order of the Canadian Government and Provincial Government. Our new normal includes starting with an automobile disinfection process of Operating Room Quality to address health concerns on hard services. We know that nothing is 100% guaranteed to remove all exposures but we did the research to find the product that is a germicide, cleaner, fungicide, dual quaternary. We have it and through a fogging type process we first knock down the exposure and certainly include the dash ductwork. Sanitizing an automobile is more than merely a wet wipe down of gear shift and steering wheel. In our downtime, we are also working on paint rock chip repair, standby for more news.

Spring Cleaning of 2020 is different. This detail was mainly an extensive Signature Interior Cleaning as the owner wanted to get to Zero with the use of steam cleaning on all plastics, seats, carpets and headliners. This 8-year-old gem was just purchased by someone who wanted a Wow!ed Nanu Nano Exterior and Signature interior detail. With only 24,000 km this reminds me of that classic auto salesman story of the lady that only drove to church on Sundays. The paint surface was exceptional so exterior preparation for Dr.Beasleys 3-year nano resin coat with the polish process and the odd random minor scratch was quick to fix. With the recent shortage of isopropyl alcohol, I was pleased to ...have the superior product of Dr. Beasleys Panel Prime to clean the paint surface prior to applying the nano resin. Other Dr. Beasleys nano products used included Trim Coat, Glass Serum, and Headlight coating, The interior was steam cleaned and Dr. Beasleys Interior Plastic Sealant applied. The Fabric protector was applied after the steam cleaning as well including the childs seat that protects her granddaughter on their daily outings. Soon after a regular wash, Dr. Beasleys Bug Barrier will be applied to the front of the vehicle and the side mirrors. Even with a nano-coating applied those nasty dead bug bodies can be tough to remove without being too aggressive so therefore the nano coat is better protected. This vehicle was cleaned inside and outside and is ready for a March Break road trip. The carpeted mats were brought back to former glory with the Dr. Beasleys Salt Chisel and I just have to look at garage floor for evidence of salt we use here in Canada. This is a common scene of details that arrive this time of year. Although another good example of why rubber mats are a must on the east coast of Canada this does not dismiss the ability to return the mats to their former glory. This was my true victim of salt/sand damage to a 2020 vehicle that Dr. Beasleys Salt Chisel could show its stuff. And did it prove to be a worthwhile product, strong enough to free the salt from the carpet yet gentile enough not to destroy the integrity of the carpet fibers. Salt is a great product to make winter motoring safer against the Canadian Winter Elements but makes pretty cars very ugly. This time of year I am asked daily on how to dry out the automobile as the windows are icing up on the inside, the dampness, and just the mess of water in the vehicle. First, remove the carpet mats and/or rubber mats and put inside the home for drying over a few days. If you only have carpet mats maybe consider rubber mats for the winter. If you have a wet vacuum do your best to suck up the water. A great item to have in any house is what I call a "butt heater" and most l...ikely you already own a fan. These butt heaters come in handy for many projects and your local hardware store will have them in stock. Drop the windows down a few inches (assuming fine weather) and place the heater in the drivers side front floor and place the fan maybe on the console to push the warm air around. It might take several hours but eventually, the moisture will leave the automobile. You might also have to move the heat around the various spots on the auto floor. If the back seats fold down, fold down one at a time as the trunk may be in need of some drying out as well. At WOW I usually use at least 3 heaters and two fans to speed up the process and most times leave on overnight in the garage. I must state that it is just as important to have air moving as it is to heat it.

Should you really take marriage advice from an auto detailer? Well, maybe not advice but methods of surviving the wrath of wifey. A guy came into the shop today and asked if I had a quick method to dry out polishing pads? He explained he was using the right kind of pad cleaning soap and doing a good rinse but the pads were so wet and he did not want to squeeze out the water as maybe he might ruin the pad. I laughed and told him to buy his wifey a new salad spinner, one be...tter than she has now. I told him that the best way to get the water out of pads was with the assistance of centrifugal force. I told him how one day I was in our kitchen cleaning some pads and using the salad spinner to rid the water out of the pads. Then the idea of buying her a better salad spinner came from when she walked into the kitchen and caught me in the act of my new use for the salad spinner. The old spinner is now in my garage and used daily. See more

On the road again... This vehicle underwent a detail common this time of year. A deep interior cleanse through the Wow!ed Signature Interior Detail along with sealant on the paint surface to protect it against the winter salt and sand of the roads. The vehicle had a sleepover with heaters going to assure fully dry after the carpets and interior panel surfaces were all detailed and leather seats cleaned and conditioned. Dr. Beasleys line of leather cleaners and conditioners were among the vast number of products used on this vehicle. The air cabin filter was also replaced to improve interior atmosphere, as a common step in the Wow!ed process. I thought I ruined my favorite moose hide mitts due to improper storage this summer where the mitts somehow ended up in a damp spot and took on a musky smell. I had these custom mitts made in Northern Canada and they have been a prized possession with the artistic bead work, fur-trimmed and enjoyed wearing them regularly. Make my Beemer Black and Shiny Again!" was the order and we fulfilled it. The owner took advantage of our Clean Get Away Detail. While he was away on a Christmas holiday seeing his grandson for the first time we took our time and pre-washed, pre-washed and washed again the vehicle, used a surface cleaner to rid brake dust, summer road tar, etc, clay barred the surface to make a smooth paint finish. To protect the 7-year-old paint surface we applied our Wow! ed Ultimate 2 coat paint sealant, Dr. Beasleys Glass Serum on cleaned, clayed glass, and to protect the rims from salt and brake dust we applied Dr. Beasleys wheel sealant and tire conditioner to the rubber. Regular maintenance of Dr. Beasleys nano resin coating is made easier with Dr. Beasleys Ceramic Body wash. With a soap cannon the highly concentrated soap was applied to the surface along with a 2 bucket wash process using a Dr. Beasleys Wash Mitt. The surface was dried with both a gentle waffle weave towel and metro blower and the outcome looks like we applied a multi-step polish. We did not have to because the Dr. Beasleys Nano Resin coating avoids that for up to 3 years. Well worth the long term view of protection of daily driver.

Vehicles that are dirt road daily drivers are like an old cowboy that just got off the trail after months of a cattle drive and needs to soak longer. The pre-wash foam was applied and allowed to stay on the surface for extra time and the undercarriage wash yielded a vast amount of dirt. After the rinse of foam, a proper two bucket wash the paint surface was decontaminated to rid brake dust and other metals on the paint surface. A clay wash removed some road tar and other s...urface dirt from driving on newly paved roads, followed by another auto wash. With the surface clean the paint was polished to bring out the best shine and to remove a few boo-boos, nothing severe. The Wow!ed 2-Step Ultimate Sealant was applied to paint surface, the vast amount of plastic trim was freshened with Dr. Beasleys Plastic Sealant, clear vision established with Dr. Beasleys Glass Serum and tire conditioner to finish the rubber. The interior was treated with a full vacuum and deep cleaning with Tornador air gun. The micro-suede fabric was cleaned with Dr. Beasleys fabric cleaner and heavier spots with a stronger spot remover to take it out. All interior plastics were cleaned and dressed with interior sealant. It is always the goal to bring a vehicle back to new condition and sometimes we succeed beyond new and all the owner can say is Wow! That is music to our ears.

The fleet is now complete with all vehicles being protected by Dr. Beasleys Nano Resin coating now that the truck has just been detailed. These vehicles are washed more than most and a true test to the longevity of the 3-year nano-coating. The owner uses Weathertech mats to protect the carpet and that can be a challenge to clean properly without making it slippery. The use of a product of Workhorse and the Tornador Air Guns does the best job of cleaning. All cleaning was assisted with the use of the proper microfiber cloth for the task. See more

I had to take a photo of this jeep while clean as it will not last as the owner likes to do off-road, mud runs, you name it... This vehicle was in for Wow!ed Signature Interior Detail to rid the interior of the summer soil from roof off fun trips. This detail also included a complimentary exterior wash/motor cleaning... and today I earned my fee as coated dirt on the motor was enough to be sold to the landscape contractor next door for topsoil.
