For all new start-up businesses, or existing businesses who are implementing a new idea / business model and are interested in mentorship, this is a contest that you may wish to enter: Hello all, I hope you are doing well and enjoying the fall weather. I am reaching out today to let you know about an exciting new initiative that was launched TODAY for the Western Region- the Win This Space (WTS) competition.... WTS is a business start-up competition that encourages and inspires residents of the Atlantic Provinces (NS, NB, PEI and NFLD) to explore their dreams of opening their own business and equips participants with the tools and skills they need to do so. The Grand Prize is a rent-free business location for one year within the Western Region ($1000 per month), an Ignite Lab Resident Membership for one year, plus a website with e-commerce platform. The second prize is an Ignite Lab Resident Membership for one year plus a website. The approved participating physical rental locations will all be in the Western REN catchment area of Digby & Yarmouth Counties and the Municipality of Barrington. The deadline to apply with a business idea is November 16th. This is also where any landlord can send us the info about the space they would like included in the competition- we will be accepting applications for rental spaces until mid-December. Canada Revenue Agency had extended the payment due date for current year individual, corporate, and trust income tax returns, including instalment payments, from September 1, 2020, to September 30, 2020. Penalties and interest will not be charged if payments are made by the extended deadline of September 30, 2020.
