We are truly saddened to hear the news of the passing of Mr. Gordon Butch Stewart. Sandals Resorts and Beaches were a huge part of our professional lives for many, many years, and gave WPIC the opportunity to bring several WPIC alumni to the resorts to experience true Jamaican warmth and hospitality. We held several FAM trips, three conferences (Jamaica, The Bahamas and Turks & Caicos), and the very first in-person DWC/DWS course there, as well as training the wedding depar...tment at Sandals. To say that we were obsessed, was an understatement. We will never forget the kindness and opportunities that the Stewart family provided to us ( Gina Tsirmpas was the genius and mastermind behind this connection). Our condolences to the Stewart family. ~Tracey and Danielle https://ca.travelpulse.com//sandals-founder-gordon-butch-s

Your Company Culture= Your Immune System Thank you to Nicole Konkin, WPICC, CWD of Sugar Plum Events for the article Okay Friends. Truth Bomb Time. How was your 2020?... Was it tough? Was it exciting? Did it almost ruin you? Did you accomplish 5 years’ worth of goals in one messy, dysfunctional year? The truth is, your company culture became your immune system. If you didn’t like what you experienced, it’s likely time for a health check. Head on over to the blog to read more. https://wpic.ca/fo/your-company-culture-your-immune-system/

This is such a great video Jill and Sandra of Sandra Bettina Weddings & Events Well 2020, you were interesting to say the least. I think it's safe to say that we will never see a wedding season like it and it has challenged us in ways we never expected. ... We cancelled weddings, postponed weddings and redefined weddings, but one thing that we remained true to is our commitment to each couple; and while respecting their wishes, worries and dreams guided them to the best of our abilities through this crazy time. Thank you to all of our clients, 2020 and beyond. Without YOU, we could not do what we love so damn much! Cheers and happy New Years Friends!!! Krista Olynyk of @kjandco shares some great advice with us today about, How and When to Build Your Vendor List. Excerpt: Whether you’ve just started your wedding planner business or you have a few seasons under your belt, building a network of wedding pros and venues to do business with is an important ongoing task.... The more information you can gather in advance of your wedding planning clients needing it, the better you’ll be able to make solid recommendations. And faster. By not having to research everything from scratch, you’ll save time and impress clients with how quickly you can make recommendations.
