Meet Poppet & Twig- these puppets love adventure & exploring! They enjoy visiting the mountains in all seasons, but especially for snowboarding in the winter. These special puppets are a part of our WP Gives back initiative. For every purchase of a pair of child-crafted puppets, WP Puppet Theatre is donating a portion of the sales to The Alberta Children's Hospital Foundation. The child-crafted puppets are a win-win with funds supporting The Alberta Children's Hospital Found...ation and the cute puppets themselves! They can make a great gift too! We are asking you for your support to subsidize registrations for the VIEW for the Holidays program. VIEW for the Holidays is an award-winning, puppet-infused program that allows for creativity and mental wellness to come together. Over 8-sessions, participants dive into the process of making beautiful art, and have a safe space to discuss mental wellness, which is especially important right now. Through the funds raised, you will directly see your contribution make a diffe...rence in someone's life through the updates we will share on our social media. A donation of $232 covers one person’s full registration and $32 covers one person’s supplies (paint, brushes, ephemera, the mask template). Any amount you are able to contribute is appreciated. The Chairman had two favourite's this week. The second favourite is TeamBearDog, an interdisciplinary performance company who like to tell stories that shed a light on the unheard, the unsaid and the unseen. BearDog's first performance was "Do You Mind", a performance by Joni-Rae Carrack. 'Do You Mind?' considers how we talk about the most vulnerable parts of ourselves and how honest we can be in a new relationship. You can purchase the full performance to view at www.teambeardog.com. What is Chairman’s Favourite? WPTS Chairman's Favourite's is a chance for us to roam the internet and share our discoveries of the fascinating, curious, fun puppet-infused activities. Stay tuned each week for more!
