Skin Care Clinics in GTA have united to raise awareness for the Government of Ontario to reconsider its position regarding "prohibiting personal care services where face coverings must be removed for the service" (specifically clinical facial, skin care treatments) and allow the skin care industry to continue these services during Modified Stage 2. . There has been NO public acknowledgment of any Covid-19 outbreaks relating to Skin Care Clinics in Ontario. We ask why would ou...r industry be categorised with other industries that have had outbreaks such as Strip Clubs, Restaurant/Bars and Gyms/Fitness Studios, when there is no data to justify these restrictions? . We are an industry that has been trained to protect our clients, patients and staff from viruses, and other diseases even before Covid-19. These protocols, procedures and policies have only been heightened during the pandemic adhering the most recent Public Health measures and recommendations. . We are kindly asking @fordnationdougford, the Legislative Assembly of Ontario, and local Public Health Units to reconsider Personal Care Services: specifically ‘Skin Care’ from being restricted during Stage 2 Rollback. Although we deeply appreciate the Government's efforts in flattening the curve, we do feel that our industry has been disproportionately targeted without evidence as to ‘our impact’ on the spread of Covid-19. We believe we have the ability to service safely and effectively within the restrictions and recommendations. We request to be looked at individually as opposed to being grouped with all ‘personal care services’ as a whole. . Our Root to Natures Inner Beauty really speaks to me. Nature has given us all we need for both inner and outer health. Health and beauty has been around for decades. In our modern world today it can be so hard with all the tricky marketing, but we are beginning to find our way back to natures inner beauty and what it has to offer. We really have become much more conscious about what we put IN our bodies by choosing healthier foods and we are now slowly becoming more aware a...nd mindful about what we put ON our bodies. With our skin being our largest organ and with researchers saying the body absorbs up to 60 percent of what we put on it, we begin to make better and healthier choices. Creating blends with essential oils and carrier oils has been one of my favorite things to do and it’s so interesting to know all the benefits and healing properties they have to offer.
