Ye olde #hypertherm45xp will cut 1 but it was struggling when I got to the giant welds securing this old relic. Since this piece of scrap has such a nice hole in it I think I will keep it #plasmacutting #farmerbuilt #repurposed #lookslikeametaleatingbeavergottoit
Pip squeak the calf is overdue to learn how to drink from a bucket. So far the bucket has proven to be a challenge but I have faith in her.
Can you see when my helper arrived on the job site to help?
Sometimes you just have to put your feet up and smell the roses
Beautiful sunset . Beautiful cows . And beautiful hairdo .
First stuck of the season! . First day on the tractor too . Good thing I purchased that giant tow strap. We have been quit busy and I have not posted to Facebook for a while but I suddenly find myself with all sorts of time.
Just a little bale feeder repair. Cows don’t usually destroy the feeders. It’s the guys who move them
#sunnythesunrunner is in a useable state finally. This little truck is going to be super handy! Good thing is that Dad likes it too. It is his after all!
Mmmm. Tractor donuts . #7810 #johndeere
Warning: This is a video of an actual cow giving birth. If your curiosity is stronger than your squeemishness then watch on. The heifer needed a little help this morning and I had my phone in my pocket so I captured the event. The whole process took just over 5 minutes. I sped up the footage for your viewing ease. Would you like to see more of this kind of content? Let me know. Note: I wear the respirator mask for my own safety from allergies. (nothing to do with current events ;)
#calvingseason2020 is under way at the ranch. The cow herd doesn’t start calving for another couple weeks and they don’t get pampered like these first time mommas.
This calf is no more than 10 minutes old. Momma cow is a first time calver that needed a little help to get the head out but did good. What a beautiful day!
I just had to pull Sunny out of the shop today! The deck is all welded up and most of the parts are complete. Just a little more work and it will finally resume duty on the farm! Ps. I have no intention of painting the body. Just the flat deck!
The newest horse in the stable has a few issues to sort out. The most major is the blown head gasket. I also found part of the timing chain guide has lost it’s way!
A neighbour had a gate hinge that rusted off of a gate. I made this replacement hinge so that it could be installed without having to bring the gate back to the shop. Do you have any welding or fabrication jobs that need completion? Wrench, Ranch, Repeat just might have the solution!
This cat makes himself at home everywhere! don’t leave your car door open or Jack Jack will move in and leave a lustrous orange glow of cat hair in his wake! But I love that darn cat anyways!
