This week shines a light on the work of Medical Radiation Technologists across Canada. These skilled professionals combine their knowledge of anatomy with state-of-the-art imaging technology to provide outstanding care to their patients. As we celebrate their efforts during #MRTWeek2020, we would like to introduce you to Katelynn Klassen, one of the many MRTs contributing to health care in Manitoba. A cross-trained medical radiation technologist and X-ray and lab technologist... who graduated from X-ray in 2013 and cross-trained lab in 2018, Katelynn worked at various sites within the Prairie Mountain Health region before beginning her current role at Riverdale Health Centre in Rivers. With the arrival of COVID-19, Katelynn has found another way to contribute to the well-being of Manitobans by doing patient screening. It brings her great joy when she can assure patients that health-care workers are doing everything they can to ensure their safety. We thank Katelynn and all MRTs across Manitoba for their dedication! For more on the work of MRTs within our system, please take some time and read more here https://sharedhealthmb.ca//2020-11-06-medical-radiation-t/
