CALL FOR PAPERS Intersectionalities: A Global Journal of Social Work Analysis, Research, Polity, and Practiceinvites submissions for its 2019 rolling issue. We seek contributions showcasing original research and theoretical contributions... related to critical historical and current issues in social work, polity and social policy, social work education, social activism and progressive practice. As an interdisciplinary journal, we invite scholars not only from within social work to submit manuscripts but also from all those engaging in scholarship that is relevant to the scope and focus of the journal. This may include, but is not limited to, scholars writing in the fields of gender studies, critical race studies, Indigenous studies, anti/post-colonial studies, sociology, cultural studies, critical psychology and critical disability studies. The journal aims to underscore issues relating to power, oppression, privilege, and resistance in society and social work. Of critical consideration are the ways in which intersections of age, disability, class, racialization, poverty, gender, sexual identity, madness, spirituality, geographical (dis)location, rurality, colonialism/imperialism, Indigeneity, ethnicity, citizenship, and the environment are enmeshed in processes of social justice and injustice. The journal is free, open-access, and peer-reviewed. We are committed to publishing both Canadian and international scholarship, and we consider manuscripts written in either English or French.
