Ahimsa is the one of the five Yamas, which are ethical, moral and social guidelines for Yogi's. It means non-violence, or no harm. To not wish harm on any living creature or even a lifeless object. It's about intent and living with an attitude of universal benevolence.... At a first glance one might hastily declare themself a completely non violent person. Most of society already follows a certain code of guidelines that involves common sense agreements like we don't kill or hurt people and if you do there may be some consequence that follows. Non violence and non harmful also mean honest compassion and true love. To understand this we must discern the subtle daily actions and responses that contain elements of violence or ill will. When we have negative thoughts about ourselves or others such as resentment, disappointment, shame or guilt we subtly create violence. Consider how violence can manifest from your inner thoughts, action and words. Yoga is an opportunity to practice Ahimsa. By tuning into your body and observing thoughts form you will become aware of your patterning. Yoga allows space to let go and heal in deep meaningful ways. Turn your practice into a complete lifestyle. Learn how Yoga can create a peaceful reconciliation with your True Nature

Hello yogi friends. I am taking my two teenage daughters for their first trip ANYWHERE on an airplane. We are leaving Tuesday for a ten day trip to Israel. Classes will run while I'm away as scheduled, with the exception of Monday and Friday mornings.

Hi yogi friend. I have no idea how many days it will take for me to heal. It's pretty bad right now, so instead of promising classes and cancelling them I will need to take this week for bedrest. Whatever this is has got me wiped right out. I wish I had someone to replace me. However you do have an outline for at home practice. Please continue to practice. If you like I can open the studio during class times so you can have a practice space. Hope you are well.
