Digging through a few piles of Sitka. I haven’t taken a serious look at this stuff for years. As far as I can determine it was cut into soundboards in the mid 80’s. It’s got a brilliant crystal like tap, very well quartered, straight, with a wonderful golden hew. I feel so fortunate to have access to this material. #dionguitars

I’m building a batch of four guitars for the first time in my career. It seems to be quite efficient, being able to repeat a task multiple times once set up. The strange part is that the guitars seem to take a long time to come together, this head veneer and fingerboard were made months ago. I’ll have the rim sets joined up this week, tops are nearly fully braced, backs are ready to go. I’ll get to see this one come together soon! #dionguitars
