Bishop Fabbro's announcement of the changes that will go into effect in Windsor-Essex (and a note about London-Middlesex) has been posted. Click the link below for the full list of changes. "Charity means we must make these sacrifices to help ensure our neighbours are safe. We must care for others in our communities and our fellow parishioners, even if it means we cannot gather for a short time. We thank all levels of government for their flexible approach to implementing th...ese public health restrictions and their continued vigilance to keep us safe. I would also like to thank you, the faithful of our diocese. Your dedicated efforts during the pandemic have demonstrated that we are able to provide safe spaces in our churches. I have not made these changes lightly. These new measures will further restrict participation in the sacraments and call forth sacrifices from the faithful in the Windsor-Essex area who have been drawing spiritual nourishment from the sacraments. The severity of the pandemic, however, means we must do our part, out of love, to help prevent the spread of the coronavirus." https://dol.ca/news/covid-19-update-from-bishop-fabbro

Bishop Fabbro's letter for World Day of the Poor is now posted on our website. In it he says "I encourage you to 'stretch out your hand to the poor,' and I thank you for your support and your donations of time, treasure and talent which are enabling much good work to be done. May God bless us as we seek to live as disciples of Jesus." 'Stretch forth your hand to poor’ (Sir. 7:30) is the theme of Pope Francis' message for this year's celebration. If you click on the link below, you can access his message on the Vatican website. https://dol.ca/news/world-day-of-the-poor-2020

Next weekend on November 14/15 parishes will conduct our Priest Pension Fund - 2020 Annual Collection. This special collection normally takes place on Father's Day, but it was delayed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Now that we can celebrate together again, we will be raising funds to help support our retired priests. You can learn more about the collection here https://dol.ca/pension#PPF. If you want to make an online donation you can select "Priest Pension Fund Collection" fr...om the list at https://www.canadahelps.org/en/charities/diocese-of-london/ We thank you in advance for your generosity to our retired priests. Prayer for Our Retired Priests Eternal God, Jesus Christ is the Eternal Priest, who continually breathes new life into your church. For the faithful service that our brothers have offered our diocese, we offer our gratitude and we pray that you watch over them in their retirement. As they offer us an example of aging with dignity, we trust that their example and prayers, inspire countless others to serve your people with fidelity and courage. Enlivened by your Spirit, help us to proclaim your presence as we make your reign known, where you live as one God, forever and ever. Amen.

In our 5th Young Adults Night, we talked about letting love take care of our stuff. The sisters outlined 5 steps to letting God take care of our stuff, and expl...ained how if we don’t let Love deal with our stuff, something else will.... these can be anything from distractions such as Netflix to more destructive things such as anger or any negative coping mechanisms. Since we are God’s children, He wants to provide for us. By looking at times He has provided for us in the past, we can gain hope and trust that He will provide for us in whatever situation we are dealing with presently. Check out the doc below for the link to the talk, and leave a comment there or here to keep the conversation going. https://docs.google.com//1OaM_AjjpGAdBrzCLyeRTxEdq9SC/edit
