When replacing receptacles in your house make sure that they are the right ones. Code Requires that all 5-15R( 15 amp 125volt or your standard household plug in) and 5-20R( 20 amp 125 volt or " T slot" plug in) receptacles be tamper-resistant. The will be marked tamper-resistant or "TR". This type of receptacle makes it harder to put items into the slots preventing kids from being electrocuted. They do tend to be a bit harder to plug your cord into but wiggling the cord can help. Don't forget if you have any questions please post them and I will answer. ARC-FAULT PROTECTION FOR RECEPTACLES IN DWELLINGS The Canadian Electrical Code requires that all receptacles 125 volt 20 amp or less in a dwelling be protected by a combination-type arc-fault circuit interrupter. Except for receptacles installed for bathroom sinks, refrigerators, Kitchen counters and islands, single receptacles for sump pumps if the branch circuit does not supply any other receptacles. The only Items that may not be on a circuit that is protected by an arc-fault circuit interrupter are smoke and CO2 detectors and alarms.

Did you know that mobile homes must be CSA or a Silver label. some older mobile homes did not have CSA approval as it was not required at the time. If you have an older mobile home or have made modification or additions to any mobile home you are required to get a Silver label. A Silver label is an approval from the BC Safety Authority and is considered equivalent to a CSA approval in BC. Do not deface or remove your CSA or Silver label stickers.... Here is a copy of the inspection form.
