We along with 5 other fire departments in Northumberland County have been challenged by Alnwick Haldimand Fire Department to raise funds for Movember. The department to raise the most funds will choose another fire department within the County to take swim in Lake Ontario next month. Please support HTFD Sprinklerhead's today the funds are going to a great cause.
Going to miss seeing everyone at the fire hall this year. Halloween is always one of my favourite events that we put on. The Bewdley firefighters Affilation and... all the firefighters in Hamilton township wish everyone a safe night tonight. Be safe if you are going out. Hope to see everyone back at the fire station for treats, hot dogs and hot chocolate again next year. See more

Remember to check your chimney regularly for signs of corrosion, deterioration and/or blockages. Have your chimney cleaned and inspected at least once per year and always burn clean and dry fuel.

The fire departments of Northumberland County would like to advise its residents that due to COVID-19 the handing out of candy at our stations will not be occurring this year. Hamilton Township Fire Department will deliver treats to you or your family (porch drop off) if you are a resident of Hamilton Township and participate in our Halloween smoke alarm photo challenge previously posted this week. Deliveries will take place November 2-6, 2020.
We are inviting Township of Hamilton residents to email us a photo of you or your families in costume along with your address testing your smoke and carbon monoxide alarms. Treats will be delivered within Township of Hamilton to those who participate along with a fire safety prize package for best costume. (porch drop off) See poster for details. It is Fire Prevention Week, This year’s theme is Serve up Fire Safety in the Kitchen. The fire services of Northumberland County have teamed up to produce this fire safety video in which they encourage everyone to take a few simple steps to prevent kitchen fires in their home. Special thanks to New Amherst Homes for allowing the use of their model home, and to Graham Beer of Cobourg Media for producing this video.
