Well, we made it to 2021!! Shall we proceed with caution? YES! Happy New Year everyone!! Glad 2020 is behind us for obvious reasons...however, we enter 2021 in a lockdown. The Studio must follow the guidelines and we are hoping to reopen Feb 1st, 2021. Please check your email and let me know you have received the notice or you can "like" this post. If you have previously "liked" the announcement (we don't REALLY "like" it, but you know what I mean!) on social media, you will not have a confirmation email in your inbox. Cross your fingers folks and do your part to help us all get through this together, even though we are distanced. Stay safe so we can dance together again as soon as possible!

Wishing our Dance Families, Students and Staff a wonderful Christmas and Holiday Season. It is certainly different this year, but let's make the best of it!

Our Final Santa Claus Parade Rehearsal is Saturday Nov 7 from 1-2pm! Please drop off at Queen Street #3 entrance and pick up at Parking Lot #3 exit. A note with Parade details will be handed out during Rehearsal. Looking forward to the Parade in Reverse!

Santa Claus Parade Rehearsal Details! Friday Oct 30th 6-7pm. Final Rehearsal is Saturday Nov 7th from 1-2pm. We will be rehearsing in groups to ensure proper distancing! Please enter through Queen Street #3 for temp checks and hand sanitizing! Exit will be through the Parking Lot #3 door. Please "like" this if your Student is signed up for the Parade so I know you have seen the details! An email has been sent to your inbox as well. December 2020 Dear Happy Feet Dance Students, Families and Staff, The inevitable second wave lockdown has arrived. We anticipated this and realize the necessity of the measures in order to get everything under control. Let’s be frank and completely honestit SUCKS! So many families are struggling, businesses are closing and mental/physical/emotional wellbeing is on the line. Everyone is being pushed to the breaking point during what should be the most wonderful time of the ye...ar. 2020 has been far from wonderfulhaving said that, we all need to find the silver lining. Now is the time to be selfless, not selfish. Time to cooperate for the collective good and hunker down. This too shall pass if we all work together. We are ALL feeling the effects of this Global Pandemic. It has disrupted our normal as we knew it and continues to do so. Our main goal has been to reopen and keep everyone as safe as possible while doing what we loveDANCE! Sadly, the lockdown protocols will NOT allow us to reopen for our January 4th planned date. It is absolutely heartbreaking given all of the extra measures we have put into place. We have been so careful and have developed a great system, but we are forced to meet government and public health guidelines. We are aiming to reopen February 1st. At ANY time, that goal could change depending on how things go. Please DO NOT pay for January tuition until we have a better sense of where this is heading. We need to live day-by-day! Please take the time over the holiday season to reflect on the importance of family, keeping everyone in our lives safe by staying home, slowing down our lives to connect with loved ones even if that has to happen online, being kind/patient to everyone and focusing on the POSITIVE even if it is just as simple as someone holding open a door. We need to focus on the positive and not the negative in order to get through this. We are ALL IN THIS TOGETHER!

Thank you Happy Feet Dancers, Families and Staff for an awesome Holiday week. We all needed to have fun during our classes :) From the Staff at Happy Feet Dance, we wish you ALL a safe, relaxing and Happy Holiday Season. Cross your fingers and be sure to play it safe so that we can all resume our Dance activities in the New Year. Tip toe into 2021!! We are planning to reopen January 4th and hoping we do not have to lockdown. Who knows what will happen, but we will keep you informed. Enjoy the Holiday break.

If you are interested in participating in the "Drive By Santa Claus Parade" on Nov 14th, please let me know! From 3-5pm on Nov 14th, we will be dancing in front of the Studio while residents "Drive By"...it's a Parade in reverse! I was hoping to have a Rehearsal Friday Oct 30th from 6-7pm and Saturday Nov 7th from 1-2pm. We will rehearse in groups if needed! Studio life is really different right now, so it is understandable that this isn't at the front of everyone's minds. Normally, you would see the reminder in the Reception area on the chalk board and not just in our monthly note. Not everyone is entering through our Main Door though! Please sign up at Reception or respond to this post if your Dancer is interested :)

Incredibly proud of how hard these dancers worked today to perform in the drive by Santa Claus parade!! They took little breaks to get water, hold a sign or warm up in the Studio, but danced for 2 hours and 20 minutes!! They were enthusiastic the whole time as well. So proud of you all! Unfortunate to learn that so many didn’t get to go through after waiting so long. We had a great time performing for those who did.

It's Halloween Week at the Studio! Be sure to dress in costume for class this week. Halloween Treats will be handed out after hands have been sanitized! Let's do our best to celebrate Halloween with the Covid protocols in place...we are all about safety at Happy Feet Dance and celebrating Halloween as "normally" as we can at this time.

Today is the day! Santa Claus Parade Drive By from 3-5pm :) Please arrive at the studio (Enter through the Main Studio door, exit through the Main Studio door)no later than 2:30pm. Temp checks and hand sanitizing! PARENTS-please do not forget to sign the contact tracing sheet required by the City Of NF. It will be at Reception on the desk. Bring your own pen if possible!! Students must be in HFD wear and please decorate for Christmas :) Be sure each student has a water bottl...e clearly labelled with their name. Sadly, we cannot have our annual Post Parade Hot chocolate party :( Pick up at 5pm. Dancers will be on rotation dancing and holding signs. Special thanks to Jeanine and her Westlane SS sewing class for providing beautiful purple scarves to keep our Dancers warm! Looking forward to a Covid friendly parade in reverse :) We all need a little joy in our lives right now. See more

I feel quite honoured to be the recipient of 91.7 Giant FM's Giant Acts of Kindness today (Oct 22). Thank you to the wonderful Dance Momma who nominated me and the Studio for this acknowledgement, you know who you are :) Happy Feet Dance is committed to being a family and community oriented Studio. We appreciate each and every one of our Families, Staff and Students. Covid has definitely affected Studio life as we know it, but we will rise above and do our best to make sure everyone has a great season despite the restrictions! A huge thank you to Staff, Families and Students for rolling with the new "normal".
