Here is feel good story about our little friend, Hope. It is great to see how supportive the local community is! https://ottawa.ctvnews.ca//how-an-old-painting-of-a-former
The cookie fundraiser for Hope made 2658 cookies this weekend! Wow! Pick up is tomorrow if you placed an order. What a generous effort from our local community! 1 Corinthians 12:12-14... The body of Christ, or the people that are the whole of humanity, are a team. The body is not supported by one person, but by all of us. We are one, we are strongest working together in unity. Teamwork is the key to living life in harmony, so that we can do God's will. See more
Don’t forget to ask family and friends if they’d like to order Little Caesar’s pizza kits! Orders and payment are due by Thursday.

CTV News stopped by the school today for an interview about our little friend, Hope. We recently found out that her tests showed she is cancer free, but will still have to travel to Kingston for chemo treatments for the next two years. Praise the Lord! https://ottawa.ctvnews.ca/cookies-for-hope-campaign-receive

Our community health partners, The Leeds, Grenville & Lanark District Health Unit and the Eastern Ontario Health Unit have indicated that parents should use the NEWLY UPDATED provincial screening tool. If your child passes the screening they can attend school, even if they are waiting for test results. http://ow.ly/5Mrw50BHi2d
A new document provided by our local Health Unit. Thank you to all those who are cooperating to keep all our students and their families healthy.

Another friendly reminder about morning drop off- Many families are arriving at 7:50. Classes do not begin until 8:15. Since there is no recess before school, your child(ren) are waiting 25 minutes until classes start. The teachers are not prepared for students to be dropped off earlier than 8:00. Thank you for your cooperation.
Fall is in the air! Isaiah 40:8- The grass withers and the flowers fall, but the word of our God endures forever.
Morning drop off reminder: Drop off starts at 8:00, unless you have made arrangements to drop off before this time. (Only a few families have permission to do this). We ask that you do not arrive before 8:00 as that is prep time for the teachers. Thank you.

Here is another helpful resource from our local Health Unit. Thank you to those who are caring for our families by keeping unwell students at home.
We found out last week that one of our Senior Kindergarten students, Hope McCallum, was diagnosed with leukemia recently and will not be at school for the foreseeable future. She will spend the next 2 1/2 years travelling from Brockville to Kingston General Hospital for Chemo treatments. There is a GoFundMe page set up for the family to help with the expenses that they will face. ... https://www.gofundme.com/f/x33nw-hope-for-hope There is also a cookie fundraiser organized by The Sweet Life Cafe in downtown Brockville. They contacted HCCS to participate in this fundraiser. The information is included in this post. You can order directly from the Cafe and pick up on Tuesday, October 13 at their location. You can also place an order through the school and we will arrange for pick up. Send us a private message with your order. Thanks! https://www.facebook.com/thesweetlifecafe/ Your prayers for sweet little Hope and her family would be greatly appreciated!
