COVID-19 Martial Arts Update Practicing your kicks, punches and combinations for your family will not be cancelled. Demonstrating your self-defense techniques and mat work on a soft surface will not be cancelled.... Grappling on a mat or carpet with a parent partner (if desired) will not be cancelled. Watching Martial Arts videos on line will not be cancelled. Practicing your push-ups. Doing Plank, Crunches, Stair Climbers and leg raises will not be cancelled. A round of jumping jacks or running on the spot will not be cancelled. Practicing the skills and techniques required for your next belt will not be cancelled. Your love of Martial Arts will not be cancelled. Perhaps White belts can practice tying their belts. Yellow Belts can practice putting their sparring equipment on. Advanced Belts can practice their combinations. Our web site has criteria listed for most Belt Levels. While it's not completely up to date as we are constantly changing with industry standards it is a template.

M.P.S.M.A. Update Hi Folks, To keep you updated as promised, I’m advising as follows:... Students/Parents who paid fees for March month please be advise March month fees will cover the 30 day period whenever the Sporting activities begin again. Therefore you will not suffer any loss of your monthly payments. Any postdated cheques I have going forward past the 1st/14th of March will not be cashed until we return to normal operation. For example if we return in Apr, March will cover April, etc, etc. If you paid for the year, any missed time will go towards pre-registration in June or a monthly refund will be returned to you. Our decision to close down operations is unfortunate BUT necessary. We at MPSMA want to be part of the solution, and NOT complicate matters by subjecting our Martial Arts Family to potential harm by continuing with classes. I hope you understand this situation!! CITY OF MOUNT PEARL COVID-19 UPDATE Effective at close of business today (Friday, March 13, 2020) all City of Mount Pearl recreation facilities will be closed to the public until further notice. This includes the Summit Centre, Reid Community Centre, Glacier Arena, Admiralty House, Gloria Pearson Community Centre, Mount Pearl Legion, Park Place Community Centre, Pearlgate Track & Field, Soccer Hut, Softball Hut, Tennis Complex and Campia Gymnastics. As a result, all recreatio...n programming and facility rentals are cancelled. City staff will be reaching out to those with rentals directly and will work to reschedule for a later date. All City-hosted events for the month of March are cancelled. Going forward, public council meetings will be closed to the public until further notice. City Hall and H. Neil Windsor Municipal Building (Depot) will remain open during regular business hours. The City of Mount is continuing to monitor the COVID-19 situation closely and consulting with provincial and federal governments and health officials. We believe it’s important to manage the risk for our employees and our community to the extent that we can. Good day Folks, As the world deals with the Coronavirus pandemic, we need to be sure to do everything to keep each person and society in general safe. Given these efforts, the Mt Pearl School of Martial Arts will be closed as of Sunday, March 15th until further notice.
