Bulletin #4: RED Critical Level January 21, 2021 (Snoman will provide updates as things unfold) The Public Health Orders, with regard to warm-up shelters, hav...e been further extended to February 12, 2021. We all know that snowmobiling is a fun and healthy outdoor activity and while riding your sled, it is rather easy to social distance from non-household members. In order to keep our trail network open, we are asking for everyone’s cooperation in abiding by the Public Health Orders. We want to ensure that our trail system doesn’t fall prey to COVID-19 and have a dire effect on our snowmobile season. Section 12(1) of the Orders state: Persons may engage in individual or family outdoor sporting and recreational activities such as skating, tobogganing, skiing, snowmobiling and ice fishing, subject to subsections (3) and (5). Subsection 12(3) states that persons must maintain a separation of at least two metres from each other, unless they reside in the same residence. Subsection 12(5) states that there cannot be any organized practices, games or outdoor sporting competitions. Section 12(6) of the Orders state: Dressing rooms, warming shacks and other indoor facilities associated with outdoor sporting or recreational activities must be closed while these Orders are in effect. While these Orders are in effect, shelters have to be CLOSED. We need everyone to be diligent during these times and act responsibly with respect to the shelters. We are fortunate that our trails can be open and we cannot stress enough that with everyone’s cooperation, we can keep them open. Thank you for your cooperation. Stay Safe!

Gimli Ice Road Update We would like to remind the public that the Gimli ice road system is for fishermen to enjoy fishing on Lake Winnipeg in relative safety on... maintained ice roads. The ice road system is shown as green in the picture. Respect the imposed 20kph speed limit on the ice road system. It’s not a race track. The black line is the snowmobile Snoman trail system and should not be used by wheeled vehicles. This dedicated trail is paid for and maintained by yearly fees on snowmobiles. Vehicles, side by sides and quads are not allowed on these trails as they rut them up and make them dangerous for snowmobiles. Please respect these trails and peacefully share the correct trail system for your conveyance methods. Be smart, be safe and be prepared. Leave behind only your tracks, not your trash.
