The following provincial requirements under the Reopening Ontario Act, 2020 and its Regulations apply to personal service settings: Personal care services, including but not limited to hair salons, spas, tanning salons, tattoo studios, diet centres and beauty salons are permitted to open. Services that require removal of a customer’s face covering/mask are not permitted (e.g., facials,). Steam rooms, oxygen bars, bathhouses, hot tubs, floating pools, sensory deprivation pods ...and saunas remain closed. In addition, locker rooms, showers and change rooms must remain closed. Employees must wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE). Patrons must be screened before receiving services ie. questionnaire Personal care services must take measures to enable physical distancing between patrons, such as limiting the number of people who may be in the business at any one time.
