the next fall workshop will be at Studio 303 sept 30 - oct 4. it will be a collab with Carmen Colas and Colin Self. the first two days will be facilitated by yours truly with carmen's doomy and angelic accompaniment while the last three days will be a collab between me + colin creating a journey for the voice through breath and song

After this weeks workshop at Mascall Dance I'll be in dialogue with Rianne Švelnis & Alexa Solveig Mardon through The Talking, Thinking, Dancing Body to talk about aligning spiritual and political values with one's creative world, building alternative economies of care, healing practices and strategies to navigate / rants about the white supremacist-hetero-fuck-fest that is so often the world of contemporary dance (see below) This dialogue will bring dancers and dance adjace...nt people together to talk about our autobiographical roots in dance, our initial hopes and dreams - and what that looks like now, what we have had to sacrifice, what we have to compromise to live our dance - how far that may be away from our initial visions and how to get back on course. I wanna talk about being helping hands to others in living in alignment through dance. After the talk back, we'll be splitting up into smaller discussion pods to share our dance stories as well as concrete examples of problems, solutions and visions of what a new dance future can look like.
