Bliss This bar is being featured as one of our Valentine's soaps! Can't wait until she's ready to come off the rack! We've got lots of essential oil roller balls up in the shop right now. Immune and Sleep have been big hits so far this season. Be sure to grab one for the winter!

Check out the difference a steam bath makes! The bars on the right are pre-steam and the bars on the left are after steaming. As the soap solidifies, lye reacts with the carbon dioxide in the air and leaves behind soda ash on the surface of the soap. It doesn't affect the quality of the soap and it's completely harmless, but it does mute colours and can hide nice designs. I prefer to steam the soaps to remove the soda ash so that my soaps look smooth and pop with colour ! All of our freshly cured bars got a steam yesterday and are ready to go home with you!

Blue Friday is an initiative pioneered by a group of Canadian small businesses as an alternative to Black Friday. All participating businesses have pledged to donate 100% of profit from Blue Friday sales to support the installation of Seabins in the greater Victoria area in partnership with Surfrider. A single Seabin can remove up to 1.5 tonnes of marine debris each year. In 2019 Blue Friday raised enough funds to purchase two Seabins. Together in one day we facilitated the removal of 30 tonnes of plastic from the ocean over the next decade. At Blue Friday we understand you can’t just stop buying things. Black Friday is as much about accessibility for some as it is about overconsumption for others. Our mission is to change the conversation and give people the ability to still shop and also make a positive impact. Blue Friday is giving purpose to people’s purchases.
