"I have loved you with an everlasting love; therefore I have continued my faithfulness to you." Jer. 31:3b
With so many thoughts, burdens, and chaos, life can feel a bit wearisome. Today we're leaning on God to strengthen and unite us. Listening to Kari Jobe's, "Rest" reminds us that we can release all of our hopes and worries to the Lord. Take heart dear one and look to God!
Weekend reflection: think of one country you want to help this year. Pray over the people, ministry leaders, and missionaries in that area. You are loved!
"Who has measured the waters in the hollow of his hand and marked off the heavens with a span, enclosed the dust of the earth in a measure and weighed the mountains in scales and the hills in a balance?" Is. 40:12. He is King. He is Lord. He is Sovereign.
Happy worship Wednesday! We are so excited to worship the Lord with "Let The Peoples Praise You" by Keith & Kristyn Getty. We are joyful and expectant to see the Lord save His people. May we see more come to walk in the Lord!
Thank you! We are thrilled to see so many loved ones pray with us. We hope praying over shalom changed your mindset and challenged you to live in light of God's truth. Comment below and share what shalom means to you!
Shalom! This week, we're gathering in prayer all over the world to see men and women come to know Jesus' shalom. How can you share shalom with others? How does Jesus' gift change how you live? Meditate on His Word and join us in prayer for Bible translation!
"Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid." John 14:27 What does shalom mean to you? As we participate in Wycliffe's World Day of Prayer, join us as we reflect on the Lord's peace.
Happy weekend! Truth be told, the days are shorter but sometimes harder. The Word says, "He gives strength to the weary..." Is. 40:29. Let's press into our faith and seek the Lord for His strength and mercy.
What does it mean to live "on mission?" Our every effort goes towards ensuring that people hear the gospel. Whether it be at home, at work, or in another country, we can demonstrate God's love and forgiveness in word and deed.
Pssst... weve got special news about Book Your Summer. Check us out next week! In the meantime, we wish you a happy weekend!
Today, were asking God to stir the hearts of men and women in Southeast Asia to pursue Him. Please ask God to open their eyes to truth and that they may come to know His love and forgiveness.

In Central Africa, Pastor Emmanuel says, I rarely preached from this book (Bible) because it was obscure and difficult to understand in French. But now, since I have this book in my language, each verse has become very clear and very understandable and every verse informs my preaching! Please join us in praying for 150 leaders and pastors to learn how to read and write with proficiency.
WE MADE IT! This is our last week of Book Your Summer We hope you enjoyed it as much as we did! Share your favourite summer reads below
Come along as Ayani, a literacy co-ordinator, shares how literacy connects people to Jesus, in "A Focus on Literacy." https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=piZQGfWF4Yg
This week, Famata shared how literacy classes impacted her life, and we hope to see these classes sustained as students come to know Christ. Happy reading weekend
A lack of communication skills can hinder students from learning. Famata shares how literacy classes changed her educational journey. "I was frustrated because I couldnt even write my name in French, but now I can do that and I can study. Since I know Manjak, Ill teach my child to read and write in Manjak." Those early frustrations led Famata to leave French school, but with her new literacy skills she returned to French school and hopes to become a teacher!
Congratulations! Were closing in on Week 5 of our Read-a-thon! This weekend, we challenge you to support literacy development in 3 ways: 1. Get creative: draw/ paint your childs favourite storybook character with them! 2. Upload your artwork/ favourite book on Facebook, Instagram, or Twitter and tag us! 3. Pray that God would open the hearts and minds of Canadians to pray for and financially support literacy projects.
A new alphabet! One excited new reader in a sensitive region of Southeast Asia exclaimed, "From this day forward we can start using [our new writing system] for writing songs and stories, and for writing about ourselves." Want to help literacy development in Southeast Asia? Pray and donate to Book Your Summer! https://www.wycliffe.ca//2020_Book_Your_Summer_Readathon_B
Sights like these often lead us to worship. In South Asia, Wycliffes literacy development enabled a church to record 12 Christian songs! For the first time, they will sing praises to the Lord in their own language. Just another reason to worship our One True King
Looking for ways to keep your kids in the books? Here are a few ways to help kids fall in love with reading (and maybe you will too!): 1. Read aloud, and use different voices for different characters. 2. Discuss the pictures. 3. Ask them open ended questions. 4. Have another book ready, in case (when) their interest changes. ... 5. Schedule reading time after dinner time. Happy reading! See more
What did a government official have to say when the Gospel of Luke was translated into a minority language? I encourage you to continue your linguistic research and to translate the entire Bible because, in the interest of our language, I will take steps within the provincial government to convince the national ministry of education to allow children to be taught [in their minority language] in primary school. - Central Africa
In Central Africa, Wycliffe hopes to bring literacy classes to a new location and see current classes continued. When you donate to Book Your Summer, you support local translation and literacy development work. https://www.wycliffe.ca//2020_Book_Your_Summer_Readathon_B
AIDIA and Wycliffe long to see more Peruvians come to Jesus as their Lord and Saviour. As this week draws to a close, would you pray with us? Please pray for God to sustain this partnership and that literacy classes would draw more people to His Word.
AIDIA and Wycliffe work together to see Peruvians come to know Christ! "I am grateful to AIDIA for sending us a facilitator. He always encourages us to continue learning from God. He is also teaching us to read and write in Quechua... the teachings from the Word of God are a blessing for my home." Julia, Peru
AIDIA, a non-profit partner organization in Peru, runs literacy classes. With the hope of welcoming 145 new students, they ask that you pray for God to open the students minds so they will develop literacy skills that will ignite and transform their relationship with Jesus.
Time to get your Read on this weekend! As our second week of Book Your Summer closes, take some time to pray over the literacy development that brings people closer to God.
Why do we lead literacy classes? They provide people with confidence and hope. Since we now have our own writing, we wont feel inferior anymore. Well be able to exist by ourselves using our own writing, without needing to rely on other peoples writing. Well be able to teach other ethnic groups our writing. Our literacy classes enable people to read and write, beginning with their own languages alphabet.
Have you read a story in a different language? In Central Africa, a primary school teacher learned about Christ through hearing the Word in her mother tongue. Although she knows English, she hopes to develop strong literacy skills so she can teach her children about Jesus in their language.

That day the Word of God reached my heart in a way that I cannot explain. That night I cried..." Bedridden due to health issues, Matisia searched to find hope. She switched on her radio and listened to the Word of God in her own language, Quechua.
Happy Canada Day! Wishing you a blessed day as we celebrate our nation. Join us as we offer prayers of gratitude for our beautiful nation!
