Wyoming Pool 14.10.2020

Hello everyone! At this time, we have processed and provided email verification of all completed forms we have received! If you have not received verification, we either have not received your form or it has been sent back with signature revisions. We ask that those forms be emailed to us within the NEXT 24 HOURS or your spot will be opened up. We understand that the system this year was a bit confusing and we are waiving the initial 24 hours that we stated for this reason. ...We are accepting payments of all registration forms that received email verification at the pool building ONLY from Monday-Friday, 9-4:30. Payments can be made as cheque or exact cash only. Please contact us if you have any questions or concerns at [email protected] or 519-845-1047.

This is the schedule for the summer season!

Wyoming Pool 02.09.2020

Hello everyone! We know that many of you are excitedly waiting for more updates from us, and we are also very excited to get our pool season started! Please follow this post for important information regarding programming, lessons, registration, and more. All of these decisions have been made following guidelines and best practices established. To begin, the pool will be opening July 1 for public swims, aqua fit and lane swim! Our schedule will be uploaded tomorrow. Lessons w...ill begin on July 13. Please read below for lesson specifications. Lesson registration will begin this Monday, June 29 at NOON, and will be online. Registration instructions and lesson schedules will be posted tomorrow. We have been working hard to find new ways to implement much of our usual programming. This year, we will be hosting open swims, Aqua Fit, lane swim, private lessons, and semi-private lessons. We unfortunately will not be able to host the Wyoming Waves Swim Team, Bronze courses, or group lessons. This is due to number of swimmers in the pool at once, ensuring social distancing, and ensuring safe swimming environments. Lessons will be offered as private and semi-private only this year. Semi-private lessons will be offered only if members are in the same household. Swimmers must also be suitable levels in order to swim together, and these levels will be provided in an additional post. If you are unsure of what levels your swimmers would be in or if they would be able to swim together, please email us and we will be happy to answer! Due to restrictions on instructor-swimmer contact, we will require a caregiver to be in the water with any swimmer level 3 or lower. This includes Swim Kids levels 1-3, Aquatots, and all preschool levels. Caregivers must be at least 13 years of age, live within the same household as the student, and must act responsibly and listen to the instructor at all times. Registration this year will occur online as mentioned. All details for registration and payment will be posted tomorrow. It will be done using Doodle Poll, which is a simple meeting scheduling website. It is free and will not require you to make an account. No personal information will be collected through this website. More updates on this coming soon! If you have any questions about any information in this post, please email the pool at [email protected] Again, more updates will be coming tomorrow so please stay tuned as some of your questions may be answered in those posts! We know this summer is looking a fair bit different than previous years, but we are greatly looking forward to seeing everyone and having a fantastic year.

Hello everyone! We know that many of you are very excited about the potential for the pool being open and lessons running this year, and we are too! Given the recent announcement, we are happy to announce that we will be opening this year!! At this time, we do not have an official opening date set. We are also working out what programs we will be able to offer, and what they will look like. We are carefully considering and implementing all regulations to ensure the safest en...vironment for our staff and community. To answer the question that most of you have been asking: yes, we believe we will be able to host lessons, albeit likely operating differently than previous years. We are not taking registrations at this time, and are still implementing our normal policy of not opening a waitlist prior to the beginning of registration. We will be providing updates as soon as they are available regarding opening, programs, registrations, and more! All information will be posted to our Facebook Page and to the Plympton-Wyoming Website. At this time, the splash pad is also open. Please practice social distancing when using. Have fun!

Hey everyone! This week is known as Water Safety Awareness Week! We will have a post for you everyday, as well as an additional resource to access or a fun activity to complete! Did you know that the majority of drownings that occur involving boating could have been prevented by wearing a lifejacket? Lifejackets are designed to ensure that someone who is unconscious in the water will turn face-up allowing them to breathe. #RedCross #WaterSafety #lifejacketliving The Wyoming P...ool challenges you to take action today by: 1. Testing your lifejackets and PFDs 2. Making sure there are no rips or holes 3. Ensuring they have Canadian approval labels detailing size and weight 4. Ensuring the weight of the user does not exceed the buoyancy 5. Making sure the zippers are functioning and in good-condition 6. Securing a whistle to all lifejackets and PFDs If you want to learn more about life jacket safety visit https://www.redcross.ca//swimming-boa/lifejackets-and-pfds See more
