How have you been? Silly question, I know. If squash is part of your life, you can’t simply substitute it with jogging or doing yoga at home. I started running ...and doing some ghosting sessions outside but it just doesn’t boost your adrenaline the same way that squash does. There is a term called runner’s high, but I couldn’t feel it. Squasher’s high is what I am missing and looking forward to once all this is over. On a positive side, many of us got some free time to finish the projects we have been working on (well, kids still run around the house all the time). At Xamsa, we were finally able to finalize the design and specifications of two new limited edition racquets: O Canada (200 units) and Vive Montréal(100 units). The racquets will feature a stunning Red Chrome Metallic paint job, 100% Toray Japan Carbon using prepreg technology, and eyelets instead of a Bumper & Grommet set for better maneuverability. Just a few words about this project and how it came about. My Xamsa partner Peter and I are both immigrants. We came here by choice, but coming is one thing, making it your home is what makes the whole difference. We don’t take it for granted and now more than ever we truly appreciate all that is being done for us: the support, the sense of community, the warmth and compassion, to name a few. Without getting too emotional, we just want to celebrate our beautiful country and I personally would like to pay tribute to Montréal, the city that accepted me in 2003 when I first came to Canada and became my true home. Believe it or not, but the most time consuming task was to find a Beaver that would look nice with the squash ball and the recognizable Montréal symbol. With the help of the local squash community and long time Xamsa Squash ambassador Vadim di Pietro, we finally found what we were looking for and hopefully, it will make you smile. We expect to bring these racquets to Canada by July 1, 2020 and are making them available for pre-order now. All the best, Tim See more

The Crucible Incognito eXposed is becoming more popular. Our head pro at Club Atwater Montreal, Dave Phillips, has started using it. This is the video of his ga...me with Jason De Lierre from the recent Squash Super 8 event at Club Atwater on February 22, 2020. I was quite surprised that this racquet has become his racquet of choice as he used to play with a much heavier racquet with more head heavy balance. I guess the maneuverability is worth something too! See more

First of all, thank you all for participating in the poll. To my surprise, the White Beaver has won. Personally, I was quite convinced that the Beaver must be o...f the dark colour however I do understand that white is in harmony with the colour theme. What would we do without you? Without you, we would be making wrong decisions every second time if not more often :). By the way, I forgot to ask you: do you like the whole concept and how the racquet looks like? See more

Just made a video showing how the Obsidian Incognito is being converted into the eXposed...

Xamsa Squash 23.08.2020

Xamsa Obsidian Incognito eXposed is officially a head light racquet! 135 g / 342 mm balance. You may ask what is so unique about it? Well, since there is no ind...ustry standard, the term "head light" is often misused. The racquet length is 686 mm so the even balance point is 343 mm. In theory, if the number is higher than 343, the racquet is head heavy and if the number is lower, the racquet is head light. That being said, we have measured hundreds of different brand racquets (strung) and all of them had a balance point of more than 343 mm (head heavy by definition). Some long time ago, we tried to make a Xamsa racquet with a head light balance but the racquet turned out to be unplayable - too weak on off-center shots and was lacking power big time. At that point, we decided to put this idea aside but kept thinking that, perhaps, in the future, we would be able to come up with the model that would be exceptionally maneuverable and relatively stable at the same time. Not sure this is the moment but it seems we are not too far from it. Sean MacCormack had a chance to test the Obsidian Incognito eXposed and as far as I understood didn't like it too much. When I first tried it in a solo practice, I didn't like it either as I couldn't achieve a consistent length and had to force every shot to make it to the back of the court but my perspective has changed once I started using it in a real game. It's just so light and maneuverable that I quickly learnt how to generate enough swing speed to get the ball to the back of the court and what a touch it has on drop shots! You literally feel when the ball touches the strings and all it takes is to direct it to the right spot. Well, it goes without saying that you have to be steady and in the right position to do the drop shot in the first place. I think we will make the Obsidian Incognito eXposed available on our website very soon. I know it's not for everyone but I am confident that there will be squash players who will enjoy it as much as I do. Cheers, Tim

5 star review from Nathan Crouse: Took me from a 3 different racquets kind of guy to a 3 Incognito racquets kind of guy. https://xamsasquash.com//xamsa-pxt-incognito-squash-racquet
