Cap St Jacques Report from Hervey, Dec 06 2020 Instead of my usual Beavertail Ski Update on Facebook, I have decided to share with you this update and you can distribute the info. I have good news for CSJ. We ran into Eric on Saturday in the western part of the park. He is the resident tractor driving groomer that we have so much respect for. He was installing the winter signage around the park. The city has bought a new tractor and it is presently getting tracked at the gara...ge. Grooming will start this Saturday, snow dependant. The chalet will be closed but I have spotted additional out houses installed near the parking and at a couple more locations. Tree cutting will continue and the same type of changing detours will continue as we had last year. There will be a change with the yellow trail and the last detour from last year will now be the new route. A new sheltered snowshoe trail has been added. Not that it affects us but he didn’t know how the rentals will work, but I read that the mayor is offering free rentals for children under 18. It is not apparent if we can call and get ski conditions like we used to. Hervey
