We are open! And, things are a bit different. Here's what's happening: Our hours have temporarily changed to Monday to Friday 1pm- 6pm. There is extra time scheduled between patients to allow for advanced cleaning/ disinfection protocols. ... I'm choosing to use an alcohol based cleaner/ disinfectant to minimize toxic chemicals on shared touch surfaces. The hand sanitizer and cleaner is from our own Sheringham Distillery! You will notice little towers around the clinic that are advanced air purifiers with HEPA filters, charcoal filters and UV light filters. We're asking everyone to wear a mask to your appointment. I will be wearing a face mask (and a face shield, if needed) during your treatment. You will need to wear a face mask during your treatment unless you are face down in the face rest or massage chair. About 2 hours before your appointment you will receive a COVID screening email. It's 5 questions to ensure you are safe to proceed to your appointment. I take a similar but longer questionnaire daily before I see patients. You will notice a plastic screen/ face guard up at reception. Tap or etransfer will be the preferred method of payment. Receipts will be emailed at this time. Direct billing will still be offered.

Like many health professionals, I’m still waiting on clear guidelines from my regulatory body, the CTCMA, as to when and how to re-open. The latest communication I’ve received has said they may have guidelines available on the 19th. I previously posted I was anticipating being able to reopen on the 19th. That’s not possible without the proper guidelines. I know this is disappointing. I thank you all for your patience. I’ll post more updates as they become available.

Hello dear friends, It has been quite a time! I hope you have all been keeping well and safe. As BC prepares re-open, we at Acupuncture Works are planning for a re-opening as well. Our regulatory body, the CTCMA (College of Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioners and Acupuncturist of BC), has been working closely with the Provincial Health Officer to develop guidelines for safely re-opening and enhanced protocols for everyone’s safety.
