We are delighted to be one of the destinations depicted in our cousin Linda’s latest painting in her I Love Nova Scotia series. This is Linda’s description of her inspiration for the 6th work: I Love Nova Scotia Spring - Spring was the inspiration behind my 6th painting in my Nova Scotia series. As a young girl growing up in rural Nova Scotia finding pollywogs in the ditches, fly fishing for trout with my dad and long Sunday drives were a sure sign of Spring. These exp...eriences inspired me to design, tie and sell trout flies to Carl's Store in Tusket in the late 80's. On Sunday drives now I might end up at Cape Forchu Lighthouse, the Triplets on Main Street or my Great Grandfather's Cattle Barn which now houses Yaciuk's Antiques. The Owl was inspired by one of my favorite places to eat, Perky Owl. The entertainers on the "Ultimate Online Nova Scotia Kitchen Party" inspired the boat load of musical instruments and the inspiration for "Puff the Magic Dragon" came from Barb, Catherine and John, some of my favorite entertainers.
