This is a custom made bed that I just finished for my wife danelle. It is made from Douglas fir milled off our acreage. I milled Nd kiln-dried it . It’s base and cabs are made up of maple g2s 3/4 Cabinentry grade ply there are three drawers both sides of the bed there is hidden drawer at the footbed which is 5 feet deep and 2 feet wide that is accessible by the panel at the from ... I used a tenon and dowel rod combo to hold the 6x6 to the live edge head and foot boards The head and foot boards are 2.5x13 Very solid I used my domino jointer for the rest of the rails and side boards The unit can fit a king or queen mattress Installed lee valley hardware on the drawers Used a combo of stains to achieve the look of the wood Hopefully it will become a family heirloom

I always hated when I was doing custom finnishing or working in the shop hope my regular occidental pouch would get in the way . So I took inspiration from him and build my own . I have to do a few more handmade pockets but have some store bought ones for now have a couple custom tool holders that turned out well . Overall turned out great :) also the suspenders for the vest are actually from my grandpa who has been gone many years but taught me a lot bout tools and tools
