I've seen a new social media trend going around of parents letting people who don't have kids know that they don't know what tired is like. As these videos and ...Tik Toks have been blowing up my feed lately- I've grown "tired" of them. We don't know your tired. You are so right. But what you don't know - is emptiness. The emptiness of a living room without baby toys. The emptiness of a quiet house day in and day out. The emptiness of negative tests every month for years. The emptiness of a loss from a miscarriage when you allowed yourself to envision the life you've been craving for years taken from you and noone can tell you why or give you an explanation as to how to make it stop. The emptiness of watching your friendships change as they become parents and you know that those relationships will never be the same. The emptiness of never knowing if this will even happen for you but putting yourself through the painful cycle month in and month out. The emptiness of telling your significant other that your body failed you again. So you are right. We don't know tired - chaos - mess. But trust me when I tell you that although we would trade you in a HEARTBEAT.. you can rest assured you would not trade us for this emptiness. If this post made you uncomfortable- I apologize. But we spend majority of our time unfollowing, scrolling by, and minimalizing our time on our feeds just so we can survive our emptiness. If you are feeling empty right now.
