Growing up, I was taught over and over again by my father to always comply with the law: If you get pulled over, keep your hands on the wheel and don’t move, if you need to reach for anything tell the officer first. I was also told to never run and to always be extra nice with the police. Now I understand why. I’ve been quiet out of pure disgust for humanity. Growing up black, there were always kids at school who didn’t want to play with the black kid. That’s taught by soci...ety. At 12 years old, I was cuffed by two Westmount station 12 police because I looked like a suspect. Little did they know, I lived across the street and my mom is a white jewish lady. Did that make me one of the good ones ? Was I the token black kid because I had everything to be the exception. No matter that I lived in a nice neighbourhood and went to a mostly white private school, I was still black. This is what you’ll NEVER understand and this is why social media is . I can’t count on 2 hands the number of time’s I’ve been called the N bomb out of hate or when the boys would ask if you can pass the nig tape after you’re done with your stick. Let me explain something to you: You can be attractive, wealthy, intelligent, educated, loving, caring or whatever you want but the reality is you’ll always be black. Some of us rock it on our sleeves, some are shy about it and some pretend to be and act white because they’re embarrassed about the colour of their skin. Seeing what’s happening to a lot of innocent people breaks my heart. I never understood why cops were so trigger happy when they see a black kid but I can say I’m not at all surprised. I’m saddened because life isn’t fair for so many and I can’t understand how some people can have such a horrible heart. We are all equal: Black,White,Red,Blue,Short,Fat,Tall,Skinny. I’m not sure who created these evil monsters but they’re sure as hell not one of us.

For the first few weeks of Quarantine, I was completely out of it. My training routine hadn’t changed much, but my diet was terrible: Uber eats, snacking at night, sodas, beers, alc - you name it.
