A Paramedics job has become exponentially more difficult through this pandemic, to then be isolated away from their families, their children is a huge sacrifice and they are owed so much more than some free food. BIG News!!! Starting this week, Y Drive is doing home deliveries. This means while you are isolated at home you can have the following delivered: Medication... Alcohol Groceries Pickup Snacks Fast Food Take Out Shortly there will be an option for home delivery and we will post a tutorial video on how to use it Download the app Y Drive PTBO from the App Store if you havnt already and we will update you when it’s ready!

We have been on the fence regarding what to do these last few days. Our clientele used to be primarily college and university students needing rides to parties, from bars and too class. This involved us running 24/7 and with more drivers that was 100% feasible. At this point 90% of our clients are needing rides to the grocery store, too work and even help moving out of dorms. Like all local businesses we have been wondering what to do, we have been deciding whether to close... or not and here is what we have decided. There are 3 owners that have decided to continue to service our clients, between the hours of 8am until 8pm. Here is our thought process... People need to get to work, they need groceries and they need to still get around. HOWEVER we are strong believers in self isolation and after 8pm stores, employers and appointments are over. If you work nights, please pre-book earlier in the day and put it in the notes. We will accommodate for that. We hope everybody understands, these are very serious times and it was a gut wrenching conversation deciding whether to completely shut down or to continue to service our regulars as needed, this was the best resolution we could come up with.

UPDATE: Y Drive is committed to offering a safe and efficient method of transportation within the city of Peterborough as well as the surrounding areas. We have given it a lot of thought, and what we have decided after consulting with drivers, ownership and some of our regular clients is the following: We are going to continue the ride share for charity portion, otherwise known as ride share. We feel too many people have come to rely on the service to get to work, grocery s...tores and move about the city to justify canceling the service. We will continue to use Lysol wipes, clean regularly and protect our passengers, drivers and their vehicles without cutting corners. We do appreciate that clients have been understanding to the drivers asking clients to use the rear seat when possible. We are however stopping operation of the Designated Driving Service, otherwise known as Cab And A Half Service that is bookable through the app. Unfortunately we have no control over sanitizing our clients vehicles and jumping from one vehicle to another on a nightly basis is not worth the risk to both our drivers and the public. Please note, if you have pre-booked a Designated Driver for St Patrick's Day we are NOT canceling those and will see you at your predetermined times. We appreciate your understanding and can't wait for the city to bounce back to its regular fun, energetic and full of life self just in time for the summer! We will update as needed
