It was such a beautiful day out, so we went for a walk and explored the green space (white in the case of winter) in front of the house. I love going out with the kiddos to explore.
Today’s science experiment was a classic. The reaction of baking soda and vinegar. The girls were amazed!
#mealprepsaturday with 4 brand new recipes! Cheesy quinoa cauliflower casserole, cauliflower-based pizza crusts, butternut squash & cheese pasta, and chicken/carrot risotto. I've tried a couple of them and I’m a fan!
The girls wanted to try out this colourful floor puzzle today and I was happy to oblige. When we finished I asked them what they were able to observe: animals, colours, numbers of items, you name it.
Today we tried a science experiment that failed in one way, but still provided us with something to learn. We put an egg in a glass of water that sunk to the bottom. After adding some salt the egg was supposed to float but it didn’t. However, we were still able to observe how the combination of water and glass makes an object appear bigger. They each had fun removing the egg and then placing it back into the water for the difference in appearance.
