Mister Bunny has delivered an early Spring present for me during the midst of our Stay at Home Winter. Even a small yellow blossom brings joy to my heart and hope for an early Spring in which we can all rejoice. Stay safe everyone!

Stay at Home Order All of us in Ontario are now under a mandatory stay at home order until at least February 11th. It will be difficult to be without even the limited contact that we were allowed under the lock down rules that preceded this order.... Netflix and Social Media apps will no doubt be big beneficiaries. I am confident we can all get through this together with a little help from our friends I, for one, will be enjoying walking along the Friendship Trail and Bay Beach in Crystal Beach with my best boy, Milo. Finally We are Open Again!!! The Ontario Government has yesterday finally allowed Bed and Breakfast establishments to re-open after months of closure. The Yellow Door is open and our long covered front porch, our expansive backyard and garden, our deck and our gazebo all await our guests, both new and returning. ... In order to ensure social distancing, guests will be able to access the back of the property where the garden, deck and gazebo are located via separate access, exclusive to them. Just as breakfasts can be taken in separate locations exclusive to each couple, outside relaxing spots will be individually assigned as well. Our aim is to ensure that privacy and safety are always our priority. We have elevated our existing high standards of hygiene and cleanliness procedures to ensure that the Yellow Door is kept scrupulously clean, and will sanitize surfaces touched by our guests several times a day. My Christmas Amaryllis decided to end social distancing and to burst forth to celebrate Spring and (soon) the ending of restrictive quarantine measures. BIG ANNOUNCEMENT!!! First, I hope everyone is keeping well amid the pandemic shut-down. Milo, a Louisiana Catahoula Leopard dog, has joined my household as my resident best boy.... Happy New Year Everyone! The first show of the year at the Sanctuary for the Arts (https://www.thesanctuaryarts.org) was by Alex Cuba, a Grammy/Juno-award winning artist. And what a show it was! Alex Cuba, (born Alexis Puentes in Cuba) has a beautiful voice, open heart, spirit and encourages the love and acceptance of all cultures in his use of a variety of languages. ... He even sang a verse from his song Directo in Wit'suwet'in, an Athabaskan language spoken by First Nations in northwest British Columbia. I hope that you will attend a show at the Sanctuary located in Ridgeway, in a reimagined-20th century Church that offers initimiate shows, incredible talent, inexpensive tickets, great food at the Brimistone Brewing Company or other wonderful local restaurants.
