More info on our furry feline and her tooth!! While the picture shows some slight redness at the gumline, the crown of the tooth itself doesn’t look too bad! But...in this case there is more than meets the eye! (View the video in the comment portion of this post for a hint!) Dental X-rays are a vital part of your pet’s procedure! They tell a HUGE part of the full story! On X-ray, our kitty patient was found to have resorptive roots, a not so uncommon occurrence in the f...eline species. If you notice on the x-rays, there is virtually nothing holding that tooth in!! This can be a painful situation for your pet, and this loving owner noticed her cat wasn’t eating well and contacted us for a dental consult and surgery. It just goes to show that things can sometimes be deceiving on a visual exam alone and a full work up can show some surprises under the skin! Our feline is now doing FANTASTIC. The painful teeth have been removed, and the client and medical team will work together to continue monitoring our patient regularly in the years to come!

Hi! I’m Lindsay! I am one of the RVT’s here at the clinic! One of my responsibilities for Dr. Kendra is to manage our Social Media accounts and do our clinic posts. And every time someone has a birthday, I corner them, snap their picture, and give a birthday shout out for all to see!! So.....our sweet office manager reminded me that I’d better do the same to myself! ... So, today on my birthday, I say THANK YOU and MERRY CHRISTMAS! We have some of the very best clients and patients and we couldn’t have gotten through this year without you! We know that no matter what 2021 brings, we are ready - because of your support! It is an honor to work for this clinic, and for you....our community. On my birthday, I take a minute to be grateful for this job, the people I work with, and the animals we love so much! So a Merry Birthday to me today....and a Happy Christmas to all!

It’s a New Year! New opportunities for learning and growth!! The clinic staff are no exception! Check us out - learning together and refreshing our knowledge of Basic and Advanced Life Support. Just another way we are striving to provide quality and essential services to our clients and community. ... What are some of your 2021 goals for learning and growing?

Guess who has our very first birthday in 2021??!! Serena does!! She was busily preparing prescription orders yesterday to get ready for the New Year’s long weekend. Our lucky RVT gets to enjoy a 4 day weekend, and will celebrate her January 2nd birthday with a well deserved break! ... Your clinic team wishes you a wonderful birthday Serena! Enjoy celebrating YOU! We also want to remind our clients that we will be closed tomorrow and Saturday. We will reopen with regular hours on Monday, January 4th, 2021! HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE! WOW! We were blown away by the many guesses we had on our x-ray mystery! Our favorite guesses were the ones with a Christmas theme to them. Obviously our clients are no strangers to the adventures that can come when you mix pets with Christmas decorations, or Christmas baking! Although this particular animal did not swallow an Elf on a Shelf - she definitely was not feeling well! The answer to WHAT IS ON THAT X-RAY? is.......... A HUGE bladder stone! This sweet little dog presented to the clinic with blood in her urine. Upon X-ray, you can see a large accumulation of stones (uroliths) in the bladder. Grainy and sharp, they scratch the bladder lining and cause a lot of discomfort. Treatment? Bladder stones of this size require surgical removal. We then send the stone(s) off for analysis to help us plan a diet change and program to help balance out the urine pH and control crystal formation to prevent a reoccurrence. We are happy to report that our puppy patient has fully recovered and is doing well on her new diet plan. Great guesses everyone! Thanks so much for playing!
