Sara Glessing is a 200 hour Canadian Yoga Alliance recognized RYT, with over 200 additional hours of studies and trainings. Join Marnie for a 7-week In Studio registered class, which will include both backbending and inverting, Critical Alignment style. What does this mean, you may ask? In response, you will progress from using the 'soft props' to 'hard props'. 'Hard' does not mean difficult, it means backbending, shoulder standing and head standing using the full range of Critical Alignment props designed for that purpose. Yoga, on the whole, got me moving again but I still experienced lower back and hip pain. After my first Critical Alignment practice, I felt immediate relief. A few months of working on the hard props brought me a new upside down look on life. INNER WOLF - Available in the YogaMCC Boutique. All creations at Inner Wolf Jewelry are made by myself, Ashya Elizabeth, in my studio located in Calgary, AB. I am of First Nations heritage and a majority of my work is inspired by my roots, and created to inspire and energize. I use quality materials close to Mother Earth. I’ve always had a deep connection with crystals and minerals and animals and love their positive energy. They have become the centre of many of my designs..., from bracelets to dreamcatchers. I use some geo-plated crystals - mostly amethyst and mixed mineral quartz, but I try to stick to the raw natural stones as much as possible. If you are ever curious about a specific crystal used in a creation, please ask! Some Inner Wolf Jewelry pieces also come from animals gifted to me by an elder. I have porcupine quills, hair and owl feathers. Some items such as these I incorporate into my jewelry when I feel it’s right. Everything is humanly sourced. No animals are ever not honoured in their gift to me. hiy hiy.

No prior meditation experience required, just a willingness to set aside the time for yourself and each other. The 50 Hour Buddhism and the 8 Fold Path Module - Early Bird price ends this Sunday Oct 25! Dr. Leslie Ellestad is part of the teaching team for this module of the Meditation Teacher Training. Leslie has been practicing meditation since 1998. She practiced and studied in the Tibetan Dzogchen tradition from 2000-2009. She then returned to the practice and study of the Theravadin/Insight meditation tradition and completed the Spirit Rock Dedicated Practitioner program in 2016.... She has attended many intensive retreat trainings in both traditions and has a dedication to the daily practice and study of the Buddhist tradition. This 3 hour workshop with Tracy Roberge @yogatherapyworks will show you how yoga can ease your symptoms associated with stiffness in the joints, joint injuries, inflammation and/or achiness in the body, those with joint replacements (knee, hip, elbow etc.), and those with formal diagnosis of Osteoarthritis and Rheumatoid arthritis. The workshop will combine elements of restorative and gentle yoga, emphasizing what you can do, knowing your limits and learning the right way to... move your major joints. A full yoga program is included for your home practice. Tracy completed her formal training in Malta and at the Yoga College of Canada, ultimately completing her RYT500 Yoga Therapist training. She has studied with Rheumatologist Dr. Steven Edworthy, and specializes in Yoga for Arthritis, and is Relax & Renew Certified (Judith Hanson Lasater). Having Studied Yoga, Fascia & the New Anatomy of the body with Tom Meyers (Anatomy Trains) and Robin Rothenberg (Essential Yoga Therapy), Tracy incorporates myofascial release into her gentle classes, and encourages students and clients to attune to their body’s messages and incorporate what they learn into their daily lives. We will build mindful strength and increase mobility. Each class will include openings and movements on the specialized Critical Alignment props including the spinal strip and felt pad. Mid week is the perfect time to not only release built up tension, but will also set you on an aligned track for the rest of the week. Gentle Myofascial Yoga with June Kwak Wednesdays at 5:30pm We will explore a variety of yoga poses using mindful slow steady movements and micro-movements. We will learn gentle myofascial release techniques including using soft massage balls and invitations to move following intuitive unwinding in the body.
