99 years old lady Nanamalya, has never been to a hospital once. She contributes this to the fact that she has been doing yoga everyday for long time. Because of daily yoga, she can see properly, her body functions properly. Because she’s been practicing yoga everyday for the most of her life, every pose comes easy to her. Many people look up to her in India as an inspiration. Not only does she practice yoga, she is a yoga instructor, leading classes of 200 students every day.... Her classes consist of people of every age group. Nanmalya learned yoga from her grandfather when she was quite young, and now her 11 year old grandson is now also doing yoga alongside her. Nanmalya believes that being healthy and cantered mind and body is more important than money. This is a great example of how yoga is used not only to get fit but also to illuminate your way through life. Even though this article is in Hindi, I felt it was necessary to share her story as it highlights the importance of yoga as a daily tool for centering our mind and body.
