Yoga with Vashti 02.12.2020

These sure are interesting times right now. On one hand this has been the strangest summer I've ever experienced. On the other, this has been the most exciting summer I've had and I've made some incredible memories exploring our beautiful province. Earlier this year I committed to spending as much time outside as possible. Taking the road less traveled, camping trips to places I've dreamed about, seeking out spots where the wifi is weak and enjoying a good book in the hammock.... Slowing down and enjoying where we are, right now, is an important (and ongoing) practice. When we find the flow, time stops for a moment and it sure feels right. Here's to creating more memories and soaking up the sunshine.

Yoga with Vashti 11.11.2020

The times are a changin' and they sure are interesting. I've been in quarantine over 4 weeks now and honestly it all feels like one long day. Despite this I am truly enjoying the slower pace of life. I am taking this time to nourish. Prepare tasty and creative meals. Spend time outside in nature, feel the sun on my skin and welcome the cool breeze. Read books I've never read and reread the ones I love. Edit my daily routine and build upon healthy habits. Everyday is a blank slate and we are living a new normal. What are you making room for?

Yoga with Vashti 07.11.2020

"Rest now, you aren't missing anything" I read these words two days ago and felt relief. I had a successful surgery in Vancouver two weeks ago to remove the mass from my body. Cancer, toxins, stagnant energy, blocked emotion call it what you will. I am slowly gaining strength back and feeling like myself for the most part. I have so much gratitude for my body. She is capable of so much. Each day a blank slate for what I am needing. It has taken awhile to notice and find more appreciation for this chapter of life. I am here now and feeling good.
