Our Coat of Arms The Lion - represents the courage to speak out and challenge ideas The Hands - represent honour and respect for the art of debate... The Sword - represents strength in argumentation The Anchor - represents the harbouring of one’s public speaking skills The Motto - by comparing the force in Latin, emphasizes the importance of comparing one’s arguments to those of the opponent Updates on the 2020-2021 Debate Season are on the way so stay tuned!

Over the weekend, YDS went to Queen's University to compete at Sutherland IV. Congratulations to Tianzhi and Ivy for breaking to the quarterfinals and getting 10th and 6th speaker respectfully. Also it was a great opportunity to go on an ice cream run because food > debate.
