As public health inspectors, it is our job to coach employees working in facilities across York Region on health and safety best practices. If there is an outbreak in a facility, an inspector such as Edward attends the facility, ensures infection control practices are being met, makes sure staff are wearing PPE properly and helps alleviate concerns through coaching. #YorkHealthMatters

Meet Mark! Hes a Tobacco and Electronic Cigarette Control Officer in York Region. During the pandemic, Mark was redeployed as a dispatcher for PPE equipment, swab deliveries, and other items requiring delivery to help fight COVID-19. Meet Edward Tovell. He works in the York Region community as a Public Health Inspector on the Infection Prevention and Control team. Edward is responsible for conducting onsite inspections to help mitigate and control outbreaks in York Regions long-term care facilities and inspecting various other facilities in York Region such as shelters, group homes, daycares, and more.
