This. Is. What. We. Do. These are some of the 50+ cats that we rescued from the North Bay area today, from a hoarding situation. Because of our foster home mode...l, which provides us an amazing amount of flexibility, we can quickly step up and save these cats. It takes many volunteers, both on site and behind the scenes to organize and care for these cats until they are ready for they forever home. It will take time for them to gain weight, be spayed or neutered and receive the medical care they need before they are ready for adoption. Thank you North Bay Humane Society for reaching out for help. This is the heart of Toronto Cat Rescue. It's great to see the collaboration to give these cats the chance they deserve at a good life. Pets can provide important emotional support during challenging times. With some basic measures, the risk is exceptionally low that they would be a source of CO...VID-19 in a household. While there are reports of people asking to surrender their pet because of fear of COVID-19, the risk posed by driving to a shelter to surrender a pet is probably much greater than the risk posed by a pet. Ticks can carry Lyme disease, a serious illness for pets and people. As the weather warms up, be sure to inspect your pet after a trip outdoors - ticks are commonly found around the head, neck, ears and paws. If you haven't picked up your parasite prevention yet, call your veterinarian.

Dear Clients: We are receiving so many requests for food orders for your pets, well over the normal amount that is usually ordered. Because of this, we have been notified by the company we purchase our food, hospital supplies and medications from, that delivery of all food products in a timely manner cannot be guaranteed as they are working hard to try and keep up with the increased demand. Priority is being given to medical supplies and medications... that many pets rely on. As a result we will not be accepting food orders in amounts well beyond what is needed for your pets to consume over the next few weeks. We need to make sure that all of our clients and their pets are able to get what they reasonably need. Also, be advised that food delivery is taking longer than normal to arrive. As always we will continue to be open and look forward to serving your pets needs as best we can. Thanks for your understanding The YMAH Team

Also, if you already have an appointment booked and have decided not to come in please give us a call to reschedule your appointment so we can utilize that time for other patients. If you have any symptoms of cough or fever or have traveled out of country recently to please avoid coming to the clinic, or find someone who can bring your pet to the clinic ...for you, or we can arrange ahead of time to do a car-side pick up of your pet.
