AUDITION CALL! Young Company Productions is working jointly with the Annapolis District Drama Group to create a production of Charles Dickens' classic Christmas story: "A Christmas Carol" as a stage-to-screen event. There are several parts for children in the production, for between the ages of 6-13. Auditions for the young teen and child roles will be held on Saturday 3rd October 4pm to 5pm - if fine, at Tupperville School Museum (Civic # 2695 on Hwy 201). If raining, then i...ndoors at King's Theatre (same time) - if unsure on the day, please text 902-526-0460 The rehearsals and filming of the screen-play will be done on location - much of it at the School Museum. Each rehearsal will only cover those scenes of the play set at that location. Rehearsal times will vary according to the location of the scene and cannot at this stage be definitely predicted or guaranteed - but we will have rehearsals late afternoon/early evening and/or weekend daytime/evening. Some scenes/actors will require several rehearsals, and some may be achieved in just one or two. The completed 'movie' is scheduled to be shown on the Big Screen at King's Theatre the weekend before Christmas Many of the scenes are short, and since there are a limited number of roles for the children, it is not possible to guarantee that every child will be cast for a role. Not all roles are speaking roles (they would be scene 'extras') The screen-play may, in due course, be hosted on the Drama Group Youtube channel, so parents must give permission for this at the outset. P..S. we want to reassure everyone that we will be doing everything we can to ensure your safety in the age of Covid-19 and please help us out by bringing your own mask for the safety of others, thanks!

We hope everyone is staying safe out there and looking out for each other! We have had to take a break during this weird time, but we plan to be back as it's safe for us to gather our geniuses together in one rehearsal space! In the meantime, we can all celebrate theatre that we've been a part of and look forward to future audiences enjoying our passion for the arts. We will let you know about our future events and continue to showcase some of our work to remind ourselves o...f what we can accomplish with our dreams out in the open. All for one and one for all!

Young Company Parents and Friends -- we are in need of a new (dry) storage space for a few of our set pieces and props. Do you have just the space for us? Maybe 6'x8'? Mostly a few backdrops that can be stacked together, a few bins, and some stage blocks. Email [email protected] or call Flora at 526-0654.
