Granted, it may seem like a daunting task... and it is, but it's worth it. Trying to wrap your head around something as big and as complex as a stock exchange in a single sitting is impossible. It takes time, lots of it. But every journey has to start somewhere...... With that in mind, we proudly introduce the first of many Marianopolis Stock Market Competitions during which contestants will be given one million virtual dollars to invest as they see fit. This will allow students to trade stocks, options, etfs... all on a realistic platform. On behalf of The Young Executives Business Club, I would like to personally thank all of you who attended thursday's event with Vince Guzzo. Bottom line from the talk by Patrick Shea (partner at Blakes) is: do NOT go straight into law from cegep. Do a bachelor's degree first, before your LL.B or JD. He said that he goes through 100s of CVs of aspiring lawyers and "Those who don't have a bachelor's degree are at massive disadvantage"
