To say 2020 has been a tough year is an obvious understatement and I'm sure most folks will be glad to put it behind us. In the future, when we look back on the year that has been, I believe we will all shake our heads and think "Wow, we lived through that mess and came out the other side!" I believe that we'll come out of this better, stronger and with a greater appreciation of that which we have, as opposed to that which we do not. Thankful for the love and support of our f...amilies and friends and a far greater appreciation for our front line responders, teachers, essential workers, care givers and all of those who knuckled down and did what was necessary to kick this pandemic to the curb. I am immensely grateful to all of you for your support, appreciation and utmost patience while together we struggled through managing the sudden and shocking realization that everything had changed overnight. Together we rallied like never before and with your help and patience responded to this unprecedented working environment, overcoming the obvious challenges to end the year on a high; reflecting real estate and mortgage volumes that again beat all expectations. A critical anchor for a healthy economy! So, in short, what am I thankful as we enter 2021? I am thankful for YOU! Please enjoy a safe and happy New Year's eve wherever you may be and I look forward to engaging with you again this coming year!

I've spoken to a number of folks lately who are playing a very dangerous game. Effectively "shorting" their primary real estate by selling now, paying exorbitan...t rental rates for shelter in the interim, betting on a drop in home prices post COVID at which time they plan to buy back in, and somehow come out on top. Will the gamble pay off? It's hard to look at pent up demand, increased savings and planned immigration and believe it will.
