Consider sponsoring gifts for Prince George Seniors! Each one of these bundles purchased will become three cute little Christmas gifts for local seniors. I will deliver them to the Chateau, Gateway, and Riverbend. Many elderly people still prepare their own meals for breakfast and lunch. Many of these members also love to bake! Covid has created an extremely lonely time for many of our seniors, who have not been able to have family and friends visit. A little gift like this c...ould be all they need to cheer them up and let them know that people love and care for them! Total cost for three gifts would be 28dollars. These gifts will be wrapped before delivery, and if you want it delivered to a specific person at any of these homes, you just have to let me know. If there’s something else that you would like included for them and their delivery, we can add that as well (like spices!). Please Sponsor our seniors! I’m so excited about this! Anyone from any community can help me make this a special Christmas for seniors

We have prepared a survey to gather this input, and the information you provide through the survey will in...form our plans. The survey can be accessed at https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/S2FBRSN and is available for completion until October 28th. I would also like to let you know that BGM’s first quarterly newsletter is available on the Cariboo Gold Project website at https://osiskogr.com/en/bgm-cariboogoldproject-ea/. Feedback Needed: *How does it make you feel? *What words do you connect with? Do any cause you concern? *Would you feel safe in a community of faith that lives out this statement?... Below is the proposed Statement of Affirmation that the Our Saviour's Lutheran Church Working Group has developed. Our process was through Appreciative Inquiry and the statement says who we are, what we believe and what we will do. Our Working Group is diverse and includes folks that identify within the queer community though we have much more work to do in connecting more broadly with the LGBTQ2SIA+ community. We understand many are hurt and injured by a church. Kendra Mitchell-Foster is on our Working Group and so we are also working alongside Trinity United Church who are doing similar work. We will be promoting the #myrainbowheart hashtag in the month of December recognizing that Christmas can be a difficult time for many in the community. Our intention is to take this Statement to the OSLC membership in January. Living Statement of Affirmation of LGBTQ2SIA+ People: At Our Saviour’s Lutheran Church, we are an ELCIC congregation of diverse sexualities and genders, ethnicities, ages, beliefs, histories and experiences. We live in God’s unconditional love and grace, and believe this gift is for all. We believe we are all called to fully live out God’s purpose as we have been created. Through our experience of God’s love we are called to learn and grow, creating a spiritual home in our community for LGBTQ2SIA+ people and families to be who they are. We welcome people wherever they are on their spiritual journey. We seek an expansive understanding of a loving God. Through curiosity, critical thinking, and contemplative practices, God opens us to infinite possibilities for dynamic connection, growth, and wholeness in Christ. This is a living covenant that will continue to evolve as our understanding grows.

The Barkerville Gold Mine is interested in speaking with the PG Pride Society and LGBTQ2A+ community members about being more diverse in their hiring practices. This will be a virtual meeting. Please let me know if this is something you would be interested in participating in. I would love members of our Trans community to participate and have voice in this discussion.
